Class descriptions

Vinyasa I

This class links static postures with breath and inner awareness, encouraging deep focus and concentration. Breath and movement is introduced through a simple yet challenging vinyasa sequence that stretches, strengthens and opens the body while emphasizing yogic qualities of “sthira and sukha” (steadiness and ease). Great for those brand new to yoga or who want to refine their alignment and improve breath awareness.

Power Yoga Basics II

A more challenging class for those who have had some yoga experience and love the feeling of moving their bodies in a flowing sequence. This class emphasizes foundation, alignment and breath, allowing students to cultivate a gradual evolution toward a deeper practice, while still being a great workout.

Hour of Power II

A one hour Power yoga class – go back to work feeling energized and alive! Friday’s class focuses on strengthening deep core muscles for a strong and healthy yoga practice.

Yin Yoga II

Western Yoga is almost exclusively ‘Yang’ or muscular in nature. The Yin aspect of Yoga is virtually unknown but is vital for a balanced approach to physical and mental health. Yin Yoga focuses on stretching the connective tissue and fascia, allowing the body to relax and open deeply into the hips, pelvis and lower spine. During a Yin class, we practice only 6 – 9 postures, holding them for 3 – 5 minutes for a deep, releasing effect. Combine Yin Yoga with your regular Yang style practices, allow yourself to relax and let go, listening to inspiring music. Yin classes conclude with deep relaxation.

Power Vinyasa Yoga III

A strong, flowing class that is physically challenging yet mentally soothing, suitable for those who already have a regular yoga practice. A dynamic dance of yoga asanas linked with the breath to create a moving meditation. You will not only build upper body and core strength, but also learn how ancient yoga philosophy and practice is relevant in everyday life – a blend of strength, sweat and spirituality.

Fluid Power III - IV

This class is energetic and creative, empowering you to awaken your fluid body, cultivate your inner and outer strength, and liberate the natural flow of your breath. Flowing circular sequences (Mandalas) will transform old paradigms of the body and movement. You will experience deep backbends, hip-openers and inversions, then ride the wave of your breath into peaceful relaxation. A good level of fitness and some vinyasa yoga experience is required.
