Reformer Pilates Align

Megan L Lloyd

Kirrawee

CLASS INFORMATION - Reformer Pilates Align

Pilates Align classes are for those who are new to Pilates or more experienced practitioners who want to fine-tune their current practice and technique. Enough of a workout to get your endorphins flowing but with an emphasis on control and precision. Suitable for those recovering from injury and post natal clients.

YOUR TEACHER - Megan L Lloyd

Having danced all her life, been a gym fanatic and studied physical education as a school teacher, health and well being has always been a big part of Megan’s life. An opportunity to explore pilates presented itself and there was no turning back.

Her career started in South Africa in a commercial studio with fully comprehensive equipment. When her children arrived, a new focus on Matwork took shape. It allowed flexibility to be a passionate trainer and a dedicated mum.

Over the last 10 years Megan re trained under a mentor, moved to Australia, and is actively teaching studio and reformer pilates. She has helped many wonderful trainers reach their goals, has Xtend Barre accreditation and is an APMA member.

Megan believes pilates is the most organic form of practice for the body and mind. As our bodies change to both the good and bad influences around us, Pilates can accommodate these changes in the most beneficial  way. This leads to a well balanced, strong and flexible body.

You can always expect a holistic, well rounded class, working to your full potential but allowing for any limitations.

CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Open 30°C

Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Classes vary in focus and pace, and from teacher to teacher, and we encouraged you to move within the boundaries of your experience level. We recommend Yoga Open classes to those with prior yoga experience. If you're new to vinyasa, please attend 4-6 Yoga Essentials classes before trying our Open classes.

Temperature: Classes are heated to approximately 30°C. We do our best to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

Far Infrared Sauna

Sauna Therapy

Kirrawee

CLASS INFORMATION - Far Infrared Sauna

If it’s your first sauna experience, please arrive 5-10 mins early so we have the opportunity to welcome you and talk you through your first session. The sauna is located within its own private therapy room which will be stocked with a robe, towel and water for your personal use.

Prior to your arrival the sauna will be preheated to 65 degrees celsius for a session duration of 45 minutes. If you need to take a break you are able to enter and exit the sauna as many times as you like during the session. It’s important to make sure you are well hydrated before and after any sauna session for maximum benefit and detoxification. An hour before your sauna try to drink at least 500mls of good quality filtered water.

We recommend you enter the sauna undressed or with minimal garments (ie. swimwear or cotton underwear). For hygiene purposes, we ask that you sit on a towel for the duration of your session.

If you can, limit the amount of personal care products you put on before a session. Clean skin will make it easier for your body to cleanse and clear out all the toxins and impurities.

During your session you have the option to listen to relaxation music, guided meditations and podcasts which can be played through the internal speakers. The sauna has also been fitted with light therapy and we encourage you to experiment with the different colours during your session.

Shower, toilet and change room facilities are available to freshen up after your session.

Be prepared to get hot, sweaty and enjoy some deep cleansing relaxation. Please note: sauna sessions are not included in the membership options. A separate sauna pass will need to be purchased.
