Each of our studios offers highly skilled teachers and world class facilities, but has a unique, neighbourhood feel. We offer 300 Yoga, Pilates, Anti Gravity and Meditation classes each week at our locations in Surry Hills, Bondi Beach, Redfern and Potts Point, Sydney.

Whether you’re an absolute beginner or advanced practitioner, want to switch things up or calm them down, we have a class for you. If you’re new to the practice we highly recommend you build your foundations in a Yoga or Anti Gravity Essentials or Pilates Align class. More experienced? Dive into a Yoga or Anti Gravity Open or Pilates Flow class.

Develop effective relaxation, harness greater energy and cultivate balance for body, breath and mind. Our practical meditations, when practised regularly, provide the foundation for improved physical and mental wellbeing.Classes are open to people of all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to those with an existing meditation practice.

YOUR TEACHER - Daragh Byrne

Daragh has traditionally made his living with the power of his mind, having been involved in science and software development for most of his professional life. Ensuring that the mind is in good working order can be challenging. Daragh teaches meditation as a practical tool for helping to establish mental clarity and calm in the face of the stresses of the modern world .Having personally benefited from meditation practices for over a decade, Daragh has deepened his exploration through a number of modalities and traditions, including Mindfulness Based Stress reduction, the Western Insight tradition, various other Buddhist traditions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and modern science-based programs such as Search Inside Yourself. Daragh is a Mindfulness Based Stillness Meditation (The Gawler Foundation) teacher and a RYT 200 yoga teacher.

Yoga Open 30°C

CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Open 30°C

Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Classes vary in focus and pace, and from teacher to teacher, and we encouraged you to move within the boundaries of your experience level. We recommend Yoga Open classes to those with prior yoga experience. If you're new to vinyasa, please attend 4-6 Yoga Essentials classes before trying our Open classes.

Temperature: Classes are heated to approximately 30°C. We do our best to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

YOUR TEACHER - Vicky Chapman

Vicky started practising yoga while traveling in the United States. She instantly fell in love with the Ashtanga practice, and the strength and confidence it gave her.In 2009, Vicky completed 200 hour teacher training with John Ogilvie and Judy Krump at Byron Yoga Centre, and followed with 500 hour Advanced training with Peter Clifford at Santosha Yoga Byron Bay in 2010. Since then she has studied with many teachers including Sarah Powers, Annie Carpenter, and in many styles including Acroyoga, Yin, Pre and Post Natal and Yoga Therapy.Vicky’s dynamic, alignment-focuses classes embrace the range of her knowledge, challenging and nurturing students, and helping them to create a safe and sustainable practice. She combines her knowledge of yoga with functional movement to balance strength and flexibility, with conscious body awareness and creative sequencing.

Pilates Flow

CLASS INFORMATION - Pilates Flow

Pilates Flow classes build on the foundations built in Align. You’ll move through a challenging series of exercises that incorporate functional movement patterns to strengthen, tone, firm and balance your body, improve posture and prevent injury. Not suitable for beginners to Reformer Pilates, those with injuries or during pregnancy.

YOUR TEACHER - Vee Wiesheu

Originally from Munich, Germany, when Vee moved to Sydney in 2009 she fell in love with the beaches. They also made her more body aware and she started running regularly. After a lack of core stability, poor alignment and a long career in hospitality led to a number of injuries, she found Pilates and changed her life!Vee is passionate about the rehabilitative qualities of the practice and loves to break a sweat, in technical, contemporary whole-body classes that are fast and fun. She loves that everyone – young, old, injured, triathlete, prenatal, postnatal – can enjoy long term benefits from Pilates.Her mantra? "Your gain is my gain, you owe it to be good to yourself. We only get one shot and this is it.”

YOUR TEACHER - Chelsey Cameron

Passionate, supportive, creative and friendly would be some of the words Chelsey’s clients would use to describe her teaching style. Her keen eye for movement, attention to detail, and encouraging approach ensure her clients get the most of each session. She believes fitness should be fun, so be prepared to laugh in each session!After ten years in the corporate world Chelsey left behind a career in PR and Marketing spanning across Melbourne and London to pursue a career in Pilates, a passion she has always held.  Chelsey knows, from first hand experience, how important a strong core is after having experienced her own back injury and seeing first hand the results of dedicated Pilates practice. After four years of dedicated teaching and now a Teacher Trainer and Instructor, Chelsey has a dedication and drive for Pilates which shines through in all of her classes ensuring correct body alignment and biomechanics.Chelsey is always on the lookout for new challenges and exciting experiences.  Constantly educating herself in all things 'wellbeing', Chelsey believes in connecting the mind and body and aims to empower her clients with classes that will leave you feeling invigorated, balanced and motivated!

Yin offers long, meditative yoga holds that release stress and tension from the body, explore subtle energies and penetrate deep into the connective tissues of the body. Restful and meditative, positions may be held from 3-7 minutes and may be enhanced by supportive props like bolsters, blankets or blocks.

YOUR TEACHER - Ari Levanael

A well-travelled teacher, performer, photographer and adventurer, Ari teaches from the heart, uniting mind and body in a unique style that embraces both the traditional and the radical.He has taught the physical disciplines of aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, stretching and circus skills for over 16 years and brings some of his favourite styles of yoga, including Jivamukti, Dharma Ashtanga, Rocket and Forrest yoga to his dynamic and flowing classes.Ari completed his Yoga Alliance accredited 500+ hours teacher training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga, with teacher Bharath Shetty at Aanana Yoga in Mysore, India. A life changing experience, it opened a physical and spiritual awareness and rewarded him with a wealth of knowledge that he is happy to share with his students.His practice and teaching style continues to evolve with the inspiration of his students, teacher and notably, BKS Iyengar, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Dharma Mittra, Sharon Gannon and David Life.

YOUR TEACHER - Noelle Connolly

Noelle’s powerful and creative teaching creates space for students to pursue their practice with heart, intensity and drive. A technical teacher, she is passionate about form and endlessly inspired to harness the subtleties of the energetic body to defy gravity and move fluidly through space. Always an athlete, this Philadelphia native, former ballerina, Boston Terrier Field Hockey player and graduate of Boston University, took her first yoga class in 2002, and fell in love with the practice – mentally, physically and spiritually.Currently heading up the yoga program at Sydney’s BodyMindLife, she gives her all to her students, with strong, challenging and intelligently sequenced classes that engage, inform and inspire, set to a background of meticulously curated music. She feels honoured and blessed to share the knowledge of her teachers and mentors, including Maty Ezraty, Joan White, Joan Hyman and Simon Park, in an authentic way.“I hope to forever continue learning, about the asana and about myself. YOUR TEACHER - Mandy Scotney

Mandy came to yoga in her late thirties - going to a yoga retreat in Byron Bay and then as a student with BodyMindLife. She remembers feeling incredibly challenged by the practice but at the same time she found a peace she’d never previously experienced.
Mandy completed 500 hours of teacher training with Byron Yoga studying with John Ogilvie and Judy Krupp, Body Mind Life's Assisting and Alignment training, 100 hours Yin Yoga Training with Mel McLoughlin and has had the privilege to learn from teachers including Bryan Kest, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Maty Ezraty and our very own Noelle Connolly.
Teaching since 2009 Mandy's classes are intelligently sequenced and well balanced. For newer or more experienced students alike she works to make her classes both accessible and challenging and she ensures you'll leave feeling nurtured, restored and rejuvenated.
