As a yoga teacher, I focus on bringing the body into correct alignment to help students to develop strength and a sense of ease. As yoga is a wholistic practice I also enjoy teaching students meditation and breath work in addition to the philosophy of yoga so they can incorporate these skills into their daily lives to bring about a positive change.
I have 500 hours of yoga teacher training under my belt – I am qualified in anatomy and physiology, yin, trauma, and embodied yoga under tutelage of teachers like Simon Borg Olivier and Sarah Owen. My goals as a teacher are:
· To instruct students how to do their postures correctly with attention to the methodology of the practice and precision of the postures (asanas).
· To teach people of all ages and levels the wonderful physical and mental benefits of yoga.
· To teach students breath techniques (pranayama), mindfulness, meditation and the philosophy of yoga · To bring about positive change in the way students feel about themselves, their family, study and their work.
· To make a contribution to students’ yoga practice and giving them the tools they need to take a class in a yoga studio or practice on their own.
