Aimee Pedersen

Aimee Pedersen is a yoga teacher, actress and writer. She has found a deeper and more authentic relationship with movement and ultimately herself, through the practice of yoga. Her practice and teaching is steeped in the teachings of her mentor Tara Judelle, who she assists in the Embodied Flow trainings around the world, and influenced by the non dualist Tantric teaching of Kasmir Shaivism.
 
She believes the postures form a beautiful platform from which we can explore our own layers, and create a unique personal journey. Her teaching stems from her own awakening, and she is passionate about guiding others towards embodiment.
 
Aimee facilitates retreats in Australia and around the world. She has recently returned from teaching in Europe and Bali and has more unique offerings in the works.

After ten years in the corporate world Chelsey left behind a career in PR and Marketing spanning across Melbourne and London to pursue a career in Pilates, a passion she has always held. Ari Levanael

A well-travelled teacher, performer, photographer and adventurer, Ari teaches from the heart, uniting mind and body in a unique style that embraces both the traditional and the radical.

He has taught the physical disciplines of aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, stretching and circus skills for over 16 years and brings some of his favourite styles of yoga, including Jivamukti, Dharma Ashtanga, Rocket and Forrest yoga to his dynamic and flowing classes.

Ari completed his Yoga Alliance accredited 500+ hours teacher training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga, with teacher Bharath Shetty at Aanana Yoga in Mysore, India. A life changing experience, it opened a physical and spiritual awareness and rewarded him with a wealth of knowledge that he is happy to share with his students.

His practice and teaching style continues to evolve with the inspiration of his students, teacher and notably, BKS Iyengar, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Dharma Mittra, Sharon Gannon and David Life.

Emily Rogers

Emily, originally from the UK, started off her career as a professional dancer. She performed around the world before moving to Australia where she deepened her yoga practice and fitness studies. Emily started working for BML in 2014 as one of our front desk assistants and was in the team when we first opened our Bondi Studio 3 years ago. In July of that year she completed her 200 hours in Thailand, and since then has completed further trainings at BML. Emily is also a Personal Trainer and barre instructor, particularly specialising in group fitness. Believing that this combination of movement go hand in hand, Emily is constantly exploring and learning how we can train and utilise our bodies to move at its highest efficiency, to ultimately be our best self both on and off the mat. She has a great understanding of the body and a passion for graceful movement. Never one to take life too seriously she will ensure to make each class fun and dynamic!

Originally from Munich, Germany, when Vee moved to Sydney in 2009 she fell in love with the beaches. They also made her more body aware and she started running regularly. After a lack of core stability, poor alignment and a long career in hospitality led to a number of injuries, she found Pilates and changed her life! Vee is passionate about the rehabilitative qualities of the practice and loves to break a sweat, in technical, contemporary whole-body classes that are fast and fun. Vicki discovered yoga by accident in London over 10 years ago when she was working as a Senior Consultant in the Marketing recruitment industry. Her usual spin class was full, so she found herself in pigeon instead. A love affair began which continues today.Once she moved to Sydney she embarked on the first of many teacher trainings, and has now undertaken over 1000 hours of study with international teachers such as Tara Judelle, Noah Maze, Christina Sell, John Friend, and it is with her dear teachers Tara and Scott Lyons, who she continues her training with in the system of Embodied Flow™.
With experience in power vinyasa, anusara, yin and restorative yoga and Embodied Flow™, Vicki is passionate about intelligent movement which draws influence from many modalities. Barre Fusion is a low impact, high intensity class that combines pilates and ballet inspired movements on and off the Barre (or a chair). This full body workout will sculpt and chisel your muscles without adding bulk, increase flexibility and build cardiovascular endurance.
 
The exercises in this class can be adjusted to suit participants of all levels, and no dance experience is required. Resistance bands, balls and light hand weights are sometimes included, but are not essential

Mardi Gannon

Mardi has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. Gaining qualifications in Psychology and Health Science at University and progressed to further studies in Exercise Science. She then attained her Fitness Leaders qualifications and became a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. She went on to work in the field of corporate wellness which solidified her passion for the promotion of public health, fitness and wellbeing. Mardi was first introduced to pilates in 1999 and immediately noticed the immense benefits and therefore began initial pilates studies in Sydney in 2000. Taking a break to travel the world as a flight attendant and become a mother of two, she returned to her love of group fitness and completed her Xtend Barre and Polestar Reformer Pilates qualifications. Mardi aims to provide clients with a challenging and varied workout with a focus on form, posture and developing strength.

Kat brings an engaging, compassionate teaching style which radiates positive energy and warmth from the moment you step into her class. Skilfully weaving in dynamic sequencing, yogic philosophy and creative language, Kat provides a fun and challenging space for students to deepen their practice and connect to body, mind and spirit. After graduating with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology, Kat moved to Sydney in 2007 to complete her first 200 Hour training at BodyMindLife. Introduced to the Pilates reformer over 10 years ago, Ivan found in the practice something more than simple exercise. In Pilates Ivan discovered a deep connection, control, and better understanding of his body through every single movement.

Ivan joined the fitness industry in 2013, and has since attained a Certificate 3, Certificate 4 and Diploma of Fitness (injury prevention, injury management and exercise prescription for special populations). Ivan has since been professionally trained in The Pilates Method, learning Studio Pilates International Mat and Reformer Repertoire.


Ivan provides a dynamic and and unique class each week, exploring different movements, and working on individuals weaknesses while meeting their goals. Ivan's class is specially tailored for individual needs, even in a group setting.

Noelle Connolly has always been an athlete. A Philadelphia native, former Boston Terrier Field Hockey player and graduate of Boston University, she took her first yoga class in 2002, and fell in love with the practice – mentally, physically and spiritually. Noelle has a boundless curiosity for the practice, and is constantly driven to explore. She has a deep passion for inversions, harnessing the subtleties of the energetic body to defy gravity and move fluidly through space. Noelle’s classes are strong, creative and intelligent sequenced. Created to engage, refine and inspire, they are set to a background of meticulously curated music. She likes her students to leave class feeling informed, empowered and rejuvenated. A passionate and dedicated teacher, Noelle gives her all to her students. Her fitness journey started in Sydney 2013 where she was exploring various yoga styles, including Vinyasa, Bikram and Kundalini. Whilst in Sydney she was introduced to Pilates and instantly found a connection. She moved back to Europe in 2016 and was teaching Pilates in Barcelona and Prague. Aneta likes to create sessions for each individuals needs from athletes wanting to maximise results, mothers rebuilding their bodies after child birth, rehabilitation from injuries and people who just want better performance from their bodies.

Vicky Chapman

Vicky started practising yoga while traveling in the United States. She instantly fell in love with the Ashtanga practice, and the strength and confidence it gave her.
In 2009, Vicky completed 200 hour teacher training with John Ogilvie and Judy Krump at Byron Yoga Centre, and followed with 500 hour Advanced training with Peter Clifford at Santosha Yoga Byron Bay in 2010. Since then she has studied with many teachers including Sarah Powers, Annie Carpenter, and in many styles including Acroyoga, Yin, Pre and Post Natal and Yoga Therapy. Vicky’s dynamic, alignment-focuses classes embrace the range of her knowledge, challenging and nurturing students, and helping them to create a safe and sustainable practice. She combines her knowledge of yoga with functional movement to balance strength and flexibility, with conscious body awareness and creative sequencing.

Originally from Munich, Germany, when Vee moved to Sydney in 2009 she fell in love with the beaches. They also made her more body aware and she started running regularly. After a lack of core stability, poor alignment and a long career in hospitality led to a number of injuries, she found Pilates and changed her life! Vee is passionate about the rehabilitative qualities of the practice and loves to break a sweat, in technical, contemporary whole-body classes that are fast and fun. She loves that everyone – young, old, injured, triathlete, prenatal, postnatal – can enjoy long term benefits from Pilates. Her mantra? "Your gain is my gain, you owe it to be good to yourself. We only get one shot and this is it.”

Emily Rogers

Emily, originally from the UK, started off her career as a professional dancer. She performed around the world before moving to Australia where she deepened her yoga practice and fitness studies. Emily started working for BML in 2014 as one of our front desk assistants and was in the team when we first opened our Bondi Studio 3 years ago. In July of that year she completed her 200 hours in Thailand, and since then has completed further trainings at BML. Emily is also a Personal Trainer and barre instructor, particularly specialising in group fitness. Believing that this combination of movement go hand in hand, Emily is constantly exploring and learning how we can train and utilise our bodies to move at its highest efficiency, to ultimately be our best self both on and off the mat. She has a great understanding of the body and a passion for graceful movement. Never one to take life too seriously she will ensure to make each class fun and dynamic!

Chrisen began teaching Pilates in 2009 in Sydney and since then has spent two years teaching abroad in London. Chrisen’s approach to Pilates is all about feeling good, feeling strong and having fun! He is known for teaching with warmth, encouragement and positivity. He has a distinctive style and loves to offer creative variations on traditional Pilates exercises. He loves to include flowing sequences in his classes that keep you moving from the start of class right until the end of class. He is very passionate about keeping his Pilates classes fresh and modern, so you never get bored whilst focusing on helping his students master the precision of Pilates to maximise their results. He is a fully certified STOTTPILATES® instructor, a certified Yoga instructor and a Barre instructor. He brings a wealth of knowledge to his classes, having also studied a Bachelor of Arts and Science majoring in Anatomy and Music. Besides teaching fitness, Chrisen is also a musician. Kat Clayton

Kat brings an engaging, compassionate teaching style which radiates positive energy and warmth from the moment you step into her class. Skilfully weaving in dynamic sequencing, yogic philosophy and creative language, Kat provides a fun and challenging space for students to deepen their practice and connect to body, mind and spirit. After graduating with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology, Kat moved to Sydney in 2007 to complete her first 200 Hour training at BodyMindLife. The nature and adventure loving Colorado native has cultivated over 12 years experience as a dance, snowboarding and yoga educator, and is continually inspired by teachers and scholars Simon Park, Maty Ezraty, Baron Baptiste, Ana Forrest, and Georg Feuerstein. Kat is now honoured to lead the Yoga Teacher Training programme at BodyMindLife where she facilitates yoga classes, workshops, retreats, 200 & 350 hour teacher trainings. Vicky started practising yoga while traveling in the United States. She instantly fell in love with the Ashtanga practice, and the strength and confidence it gave her.
In 2009, Vicky completed 200 hour teacher training with John Ogilvie and Judy Krump at Byron Yoga Centre, and followed with 500 hour Advanced training with Peter Clifford at Santosha Yoga Byron Bay in 2010. Since then she has studied with many teachers including Sarah Powers, Annie Carpenter, and in many styles including Acroyoga, Yin, Pre and Post Natal and Yoga Therapy. Vicky’s dynamic, alignment-focuses classes embrace the range of her knowledge, challenging and nurturing students, and helping them to create a safe and sustainable practice. She combines her knowledge of yoga with functional movement to balance strength and flexibility, with conscious body awareness and creative sequencing.

Mel M Mclaughlin

Mel McLaughlin from the ‘The yin space’ - has been practicing, teaching and experiencing all that yoga, meditation and pranayama have to offer since a lengthy sojourn in India 19 yrs ago.
She has trained with some of the worlds most respected teachers of yoga, energetics and bodywork including Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley, Acupuncture with Dr.Daniel Keown, and Qi Gong with Robert Peng – and now includes all of this knowledge & experience into her own Yin Yoga teacher trainings and workshops Australia wide and throughout Europe.
Melanie has a background in dance and bodywork, which lends itself naturally to the flow and movement of asana yoga and an understanding of body mechanics. She is deeply curious about the energetic and esoteric having studied with Paul Balch, Kevin Farrow and includes this in her teachings with the belief we cannot address one body without the other.
Mel believes and has personally experienced Yoga and meditation to be great tools to ground us against the stresses of everyday life, release trauma and re-align to our most natural joyous selves, and enjoys facilitating this transformation in other beautiful humans through her chosen modalities of teaching students for the last 18 years.

Rachael Coopes

As a mother, writer, performer and Yoga teacher, Rachael is passionate about story telling and creating. She lives by the mantra ‘Do your practice and all is coming’ by Shri Pattabhi Jois and lives and breathes the yoga sutras on and off the mat. Rachael’s background in movement spans 25 years, firstly as a rhythmic gymnast and later studying French physical theatre in Paris at L’Ecole Philippe Gaulier. She has completed over 800 hours of certification under the guidance of Jessica Stickler as well as the 300 hour Jivamukti, 200 hour Samadhi and 30 hour Samadhi Prenatal Teacher Trainings. Her classes are a creative exploration into the philosophy and psychology of yoga. A devoted student of yoga for over 20 years, Vanessa completed Hatha yoga training at the White Lotus Yoga Foundation in Santa Barbara in 2004 and trained as a PreNatal teacher under Janice Clarfield of Urban Yoga.

Vanessa’s classes combine her unique blend of hatha yoga, vinyasa flow, birthing preparation techniques and conscious relaxation to encourage a strong yet safe practice for pregnant Mums. She teaches a series of flow and static asana – combined with vocal, pelvic floor and abdominal toning techniques – designed specifically to promote strength and elasticity and enhance the energy of body and mind, preparing mums to approach birth calm and confidence.

With over 10 years teaching experience, Mandy is passionate about assisting beginners at the start of their yoga journey. Her clear instruction and intelligent sequencing provide the building blocks for a safe and sustainable practice. Accessible but challenging, her classes will leave you feeling confident, nurtured and rejuvenated in body, mind and spirit. A perpetual student, Mandy has completed more than 1000 hours of yoga teacher training. After completing 500 hour Level 1 and 2 with Byron Yoga Centre, she went on to study the 100 hour ‘Heart of a Teacher’ training with Maty Ezraty, over 300 hours of Yin Yoga training, and numerous 50 hour modules with BodyMindLife. She is honoured to have learned from master teachers including arah Owens, Judy Krapp, John Ogilvie, Bryan Kest, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, and Noelle Connolly. Originally from Munich, Germany, when Vee moved to Sydney in 2009 she fell in love with the beaches. They also made her more body aware and she started running regularly. After a lack of core stability, poor alignment and a long career in hospitality led to a number of injuries, she found Pilates and changed her life! Vee is passionate about the rehabilitative qualities of the practice and loves to break a sweat, in technical, contemporary whole-body classes that are fast and fun. She loves that everyone – young, old, injured, triathlete, prenatal, postnatal – can enjoy long term benefits from Pilates. Her mantra? "Your gain is my gain, you owe it to be good to yourself. We only get one shot and this is it.”

Vicki discovered yoga by accident in London over 10 years ago when she was working as a Senior Consultant in the Marketing recruitment industry. Her usual spin class was full, so she found herself in pigeon instead. A love affair began which continues today.Once she moved to Sydney she embarked on the first of many teacher trainings, and has now undertaken over 1000 hours of study with international teachers such as Tara Judelle, Noah Maze, Christina Sell, John Friend, and it is with her dear teachers Tara and Scott Lyons, who she continues her training with in the system of Embodied Flow™.
With experience in power vinyasa, anusara, yin and restorative yoga and Embodied Flow™, Vicki is passionate about intelligent movement which draws influence from many modalities. Expect to work hard, and laugh a lot in her classes whilst moving safely through unique sequences and into shapes you never knew existed.

Chrisen began teaching Pilates in 2009 in Sydney and since then has spent two years teaching abroad in London. Chrisen’s approach to Pilates is all about feeling good, feeling strong and having fun! He is known for teaching with warmth, encouragement and positivity. He has a distinctive style and loves to offer creative variations on traditional Pilates exercises. He loves to include flowing sequences in his classes that keep you moving from the start of class right until the end of class. He is very passionate about keeping his Pilates classes fresh and modern, so you never get bored whilst focusing on helping his students master the precision of Pilates to maximise their results. He is a fully certified STOTTPILATES® instructor, a certified Yoga instructor and a Barre instructor. He brings a wealth of knowledge to his classes, having also studied a Bachelor of Arts and Science majoring in Anatomy and Music. Besides teaching fitness, Chrisen is also a musician. Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. His classes embrace all these styles, playful and dynamic with fluid movement and strong, creative sequencing set to a background of uplifting beats that illustrate his love and passion for music.

Mardi has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. Gaining qualifications in Psychology and Health Science at University and progressed to further studies in Exercise Science. She then attained her Fitness Leaders qualifications and became a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. She went on to work in the field of corporate wellness which solidified her passion for the promotion of public health, fitness and wellbeing. Mardi was first introduced to pilates in 1999 and immediately noticed the immense benefits and therefore began initial pilates studies in Sydney in 2000. Taking a break to travel the world as a flight attendant and become a mother of two, she returned to her love of group fitness and completed her Xtend Barre and Polestar Reformer Pilates qualifications. Mardi aims to provide clients with a challenging and varied workout with a focus on form, posture and developing strength.

About Bevan Pfeiffer

Bevan Pfeiffer

Bevan has been athletic since he was a kid, drawn to many sports and
playing rugby league at state level. Along with his athletic side he
always had a burning passion to be creative. It was in 2008 when
deciding to do an acting course in which he discovered yoga.
His curiosity was piqued, for the first time he felt a connection that
linked his mind body and soul together that he never felt before. This
led him down a path of Hatha, Bikram, Iyengar before settling into a
daily meditation and Vinyasa practice.
After graduating from the Western Australian Academy of
Performing Arts with a degree in acting, Bevan was ready to deepen
his understanding of yoga both spiritually and practically, and
decided to complete his teacher training with BodyMindLife under
the guidance of his teachers Noelle Connolly, Kat Clayton and
additional training with Joan Hyman and Shiva Rea in India.
With an understanding of contemporary movement styles blended
with his knowledge of anatomy and a deep understanding of yoga
asana Bevan is passionate about creating an experience which will
leave you feeling completely present in a world where we are
constantly distracted.

After ten years in the corporate world Chelsey left behind a career in PR and Marketing spanning across Melbourne and London to pursue a career in Pilates, a passion she has always held. Chelsey knows, from first hand experience, how important a strong core is after having experienced her own back injury and seeing first hand the results of dedicated Pilates practice. After four years of dedicated teaching and now a Teacher Trainer and Instructor, Chelsey has a dedication and drive for Pilates which shines through in all of her classes ensuring correct body alignment and biomechanics.

Taking her first teacher training with Holly Coles at Preshana Vinyasa in 2014, Gemma has since completed Shiva Rea’s Mandala of Asanas with Chanel Luck, as well as Intermediate teacher training at BodyMindLife with Simon Park, Noelle Connolly, Jo Gates and Kat Clayton. Emily, originally from the UK, started off her career as a professional dancer. She performed around the world before moving to Australia where she deepened her yoga practice and fitness studies. Emily started working for BML in 2014 as one of our front desk assistants and was in the team when we first opened our Bondi Studio 3 years ago. In July of that year she completed her 200 hours in Thailand, and since then has completed further trainings at BML. Emily is also a Personal Trainer and barre instructor, particularly specialising in group fitness. Believing that this combination of movement go hand in hand, Emily is constantly exploring and learning how we can train and utilise our bodies to move at its highest efficiency, to ultimately be our best self both on and off the mat. She has a great understanding of the body and a passion for graceful movement. Never one to take life too seriously she will ensure to make each class fun and dynamic!

Kat brings an engaging, compassionate teaching style which radiates positive energy and warmth from the moment you step into her class. Skilfully weaving in dynamic sequencing, yogic philosophy and creative language, Kat provides a fun and challenging space for students to deepen their practice and connect to body, mind and spirit. After graduating with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology, Kat moved to Sydney in 2007 to complete her first 200 Hour training at BodyMindLife. The nature and adventure loving Colorado native has cultivated over 12 years experience as a dance, snowboarding and yoga educator, and is continually inspired by teachers and scholars Simon Park, Maty Ezraty, Baron Baptiste, Ana Forrest, and Georg Feuerstein. Barre Fusion is a low impact, high intensity class that combines pilates and ballet inspired movements on and off the Barre (or a chair). This full body workout will sculpt and chisel your muscles without adding bulk, increase flexibility and build cardiovascular endurance.
 
The exercises in this class can be adjusted to suit participants of all levels, and no dance experience is required. Resistance bands, balls and light hand weights are sometimes included, but are not essential

Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. Barre Fusion is a low impact, high intensity class that combines pilates and ballet inspired movements on and off the Barre (or a chair!).

It aims to sculpt and chisel your muscles without adding bulk. This full body workout is created for all fitness levels and has a focus on developing strength, tone, balance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance.

This class is designed to be modified or progressed to suit all ability and levels with no dance background required.
Props including resistance bands, balls and light hand weights are sometimes used during class but are optional and not essential.

Mel McLaughlin from the ‘The yin space’ - has been practicing, teaching and experiencing all that yoga, meditation and pranayama have to offer since a lengthy sojourn in India 19 yrs ago.
She has trained with some of the worlds most respected teachers of yoga, energetics and bodywork including Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley, Acupuncture with Dr.Daniel Keown, and Qi Gong with Robert Peng – and now includes all of this knowledge & experience into her own Yin Yoga teacher trainings and workshops Australia wide and throughout Europe.
Melanie has a background in dance and bodywork, which lends itself naturally to the flow and movement of asana yoga and an understanding of body mechanics. She is deeply curious about the energetic and esoteric having studied with Paul Balch, Kevin Farrow and includes this in her teachings with the belief we cannot address one body without the other.

Bevan Pfeiffer

Bevan has been athletic since he was a kid, drawn to many sports and
playing rugby league at state level. Along with his athletic side he
always had a burning passion to be creative. It was in 2008 when
deciding to do an acting course in which he discovered yoga.
His curiosity was piqued, for the first time he felt a connection that
linked his mind body and soul together that he never felt before. This
led him down a path of Hatha, Bikram, Iyengar before settling into a
daily meditation and Vinyasa practice.
After graduating from the Western Australian Academy of
Performing Arts with a degree in acting, Bevan was ready to deepen
his understanding of yoga both spiritually and practically, and
decided to complete his teacher training with BodyMindLife under
the guidance of his teachers Noelle Connolly, Kat Clayton and
additional training with Joan Hyman and Shiva Rea in India.
With an understanding of contemporary movement styles blended
with his knowledge of anatomy and a deep understanding of yoga

Tali first began practicing Pilates as a form of exercise over 6 years ago while working full-time in the corporate world. A true passion for Pilates was born and she is now STOTT certified in both Matwork and Reformer and trained on the full range of studio equipment. Noelle Connolly has always been an athlete. A Philadelphia native, former Boston Terrier Field Hockey player and graduate of Boston University, she took her first yoga class in 2002, and fell in love with the practice – mentally, physically and spiritually. Noelle has a boundless curiosity for the practice, and is constantly driven to explore. She has a deep passion for inversions, harnessing the subtleties of the energetic body to defy gravity and move fluidly through space. Noelle’s classes are strong, creative and intelligent sequenced. Created to engage, refine and inspire, they are set to a background of meticulously curated music. She likes her students to leave class feeling informed, empowered and rejuvenated. Aimee Pedersen

Aimee Pedersen is a yoga teacher, actress and writer. She has found a deeper and more authentic relationship with movement and ultimately herself, through the practice of yoga. Her practice and teaching is steeped in the teachings of her mentor Tara Judelle, who she assists in the Embodied Flow trainings around the world, and influenced by the non dualist Tantric teaching of Kasmir Shaivism.
 
She believes the postures form a beautiful platform from which we can explore our own layers, and create a unique personal journey. Her teaching stems from her own awakening, and she is passionate about guiding others towards embodiment.

A well-travelled teacher, performer, photographer and adventurer, Ari teaches from the heart, uniting mind and body in a unique style that embraces both the traditional and the radical.

He has taught the physical disciplines of aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, stretching and circus skills for over 16 years and brings some of his favourite styles of yoga, including Jivamukti, Dharma Ashtanga, Rocket and Forrest yoga to his dynamic and flowing classes.

Ari completed his Yoga Alliance accredited 500+ hours teacher training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga, with teacher Bharath Shetty at Aanana Yoga in Mysore, India. Mardi has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. Gaining qualifications in Psychology and Health Science at University and progressed to further studies in Exercise Science. She then attained her Fitness Leaders qualifications and became a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. She went on to work in the field of corporate wellness which solidified her passion for the promotion of public health, fitness and wellbeing. Mardi was first introduced to pilates in 1999 and immediately noticed the immense benefits and therefore began initial pilates studies in Sydney in 2000. After graduating with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology, Kat moved to Sydney in 2007 to complete her first 200 Hour training at BodyMindLife. Ivan joined the fitness industry in 2013, and has since attained a Certificate 3, Certificate 4 and Diploma of Fitness (injury prevention, injury management and exercise prescription for special populations). Ivan has since been professionally trained in The Pilates Method, learning Studio Pilates International Mat and Reformer Repertoire.

Noelle Connolly has always been an athlete. A Philadelphia native, former Boston Terrier Field Hockey player and graduate of Boston University, she took her first yoga class in 2002, and fell in love with the practice – mentally, physically and spiritually. Noelle has a boundless curiosity for the practice, and is constantly driven to explore. She has a deep passion for inversions, harnessing the subtleties of the energetic body to defy gravity and move fluidly through space. Noelle’s classes are strong, creative and intelligent sequenced. Created to engage, refine and inspire, they are set to a background of meticulously curated music. She likes her students to leave class feeling informed, empowered and rejuvenated. A passionate and dedicated teacher, Noelle gives her all to her students. Aimee Pedersen

Aimee Pedersen is a yoga teacher, actress and writer. She has found a deeper and more authentic relationship with movement and ultimately herself, through the practice of yoga. Her practice and teaching is steeped in the teachings of her mentor Tara Judelle, who she assists in the Embodied Flow trainings around the world, and influenced by the non dualist Tantric teaching of Kasmir Shaivism.
 
She believes the postures form a beautiful platform from which we can explore our own layers, and create a unique personal journey. Her teaching stems from her own awakening, and she is passionate about guiding others towards embodiment.
 
Aimee facilitates retreats in Australia and around the world. She has recently returned from teaching in Europe and Bali and has more unique offerings in the works.

Aneta is internationally trained STOTT Pilates Instructor, a long-time passionate yogi and sports enthusiast. Aneta is from Prague, Czech Republic. Her fitness journey started in Sydney 2013 where she was exploring various yoga styles, including Vinyasa, Bikram and Kundalini. Whilst in Sydney she was introduced to Pilates and instantly found a connection. She moved back to Europe in 2016 and was teaching Pilates in Barcelona and Prague. Aneta likes to create sessions for each individuals needs from athletes wanting to maximise results, mothers rebuilding their bodies after child birth, rehabilitation from injuries and people who just want better performance from their bodies.

Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. His classes embrace all these styles, playful and dynamic with fluid movement and strong, creative sequencing set to a background of uplifting beats that illustrate his love and passion for music.

Originally from Munich, Germany, when Vee moved to Sydney in 2009 she fell in love with the beaches. They also made her more body aware and she started running regularly. After a lack of core stability, poor alignment and a long career in hospitality led to a number of injuries, she found Pilates and changed her life! Vee is passionate about the rehabilitative qualities of the practice and loves to break a sweat, in technical, contemporary whole-body classes that are fast and fun. Emily, originally from the UK, started off her career as a professional dancer. She performed around the world before moving to Australia where she deepened her yoga practice and fitness studies. Emily started working for BML in 2014 as one of our front desk assistants and was in the team when we first opened our Bondi Studio 3 years ago. In July of that year she completed her 200 hours in Thailand, and since then has completed further trainings at BML. Emily is also a Personal Trainer and barre instructor, particularly specialising in group fitness. Believing that this combination of movement go hand in hand, Emily is constantly exploring and learning how we can train and utilise our bodies to move at its highest efficiency, to ultimately be our best self both on and off the mat. She has a great understanding of the body and a passion for graceful movement. Never one to take life too seriously she will ensure to make each class fun and dynamic!

He is known for teaching with warmth, encouragement and positivity. He has a distinctive style and loves to offer creative variations on traditional Pilates exercises. He loves to include flowing sequences in his classes that keep you moving from the start of class right until the end of class. He is very passionate about keeping his Pilates classes fresh and modern, so you never get bored whilst focusing on helping his students master the precision of Pilates to maximise their results. He is a fully certified STOTTPILATES® instructor, a certified Yoga instructor and a Barre instructor. He brings a wealth of knowledge to his classes, having also studied a Bachelor of Arts and Science majoring in Anatomy and Music. Besides teaching fitness, Chrisen is also a musician. Vicky started practising yoga while traveling in the United States. She instantly fell in love with the Ashtanga practice, and the strength and confidence it gave her.
In 2009, Vicky completed 200 hour teacher training with John Ogilvie and Judy Krump at Byron Yoga Centre, and followed with 500 hour Advanced training with Peter Clifford at Santosha Yoga Byron Bay in 2010. Since then she has studied with many teachers including Sarah Powers, Annie Carpenter, and in many styles including Acroyoga, Yin, Pre and Post Natal and Yoga Therapy. Vicky’s dynamic, alignment-focuses classes embrace the range of her knowledge, challenging and nurturing students, and helping them to create a safe and sustainable practice. Mel McLaughlin from the ‘The yin space’ - has been practicing, teaching and experiencing all that yoga, meditation and pranayama have to offer since a lengthy sojourn in India 19 yrs ago.
She has trained with some of the worlds most respected teachers of yoga, energetics and bodywork including Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley, Acupuncture with Dr.Daniel Keown, and Qi Gong with Robert Peng – and now includes all of this knowledge & experience into her own Yin Yoga teacher trainings and workshops Australia wide and throughout Europe.
Melanie has a background in dance and bodywork, which lends itself naturally to the flow and movement of asana yoga and an understanding of body mechanics. She is deeply curious about the energetic and esoteric having studied with Paul Balch, Kevin Farrow and includes this in her teachings with the belief we cannot address one body without the other.
Mel believes and has personally experienced Yoga and meditation to be great tools to ground us against the stresses of everyday life, release trauma and re-align to our most natural joyous selves, and enjoys facilitating this transformation in other beautiful humans through her chosen modalities of teaching students for the last 18 years.

Rachael Coopes

As a mother, writer, performer and Yoga teacher, Rachael is passionate about story telling and creating. She lives by the mantra ‘Do your practice and all is coming’ by Shri Pattabhi Jois and lives and breathes the yoga sutras on and off the mat. Rachael’s background in movement spans 25 years, firstly as a rhythmic gymnast and later studying French physical theatre in Paris at L’Ecole Philippe Gaulier. She has completed over 800 hours of certification under the guidance of Jessica Stickler as well as the 300 hour Jivamukti, 200 hour Samadhi and 30 hour Samadhi Prenatal Teacher Trainings. Her classes are a creative exploration into the philosophy and psychology of yoga. A perpetual student, Mandy has completed more than 1000 hours of yoga teacher training. After completing 500 hour Level 1 and 2 with Byron Yoga Centre, she went on to study the 100 hour ‘Heart of a Teacher’ training with Maty Ezraty, over 300 hours of Yin Yoga training, and numerous 50 hour modules with BodyMindLife. This workshop will use a variety of techniques to show you how to tap into some main trigger points to break up sticky spots, restore the integrity of the tissues and assist with increased range of motion.
 
You’ll need two myofascial release balls - tennis balls work well too!

Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. Narelle is a fully registered Pilates instructor, comprehensively trained by the Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA) in 2007. This registration enables clients to receive rebates from their health insurance companies if they have Pilates rehabilitation included in their cover.
Additional to her Pilates qualifications Narelle holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Health Science, a Diploma in Fitness and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. Having worked in some of Sydney’s best private Pilates studios she has diverse experience with the Pilates equipment including the Cadillac, Wunda Chair & Reformer. She has a nurturing and confident approach to issues and injuries within the body and strongly believes Pilates is for everybody. She loves interacting with people and not only shares her Pilates and health knowledge but she loves to educate clients about their body - empowering them to achieve a higher level of wellbeing . On a personal level, Narelle is a Surry Hills girl, born and bred in the area with strong historical connections to the areas colorful past. A Philadelphia native, former Boston Terrier Field Hockey player and graduate of Boston University, she took her first yoga class in 2002, and fell in love with the practice – mentally, physically and spiritually. Noelle has a boundless curiosity for the practice, and is constantly driven to explore. She has a deep passion for inversions, harnessing the subtleties of the energetic body to defy gravity and move fluidly through space. Noelle’s classes are strong, creative and intelligent sequenced. Created to engage, refine and inspire, they are set to a background of meticulously curated music. She likes her students to leave class feeling informed, empowered and rejuvenated. Mardi has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. Gaining qualifications in Psychology and Health Science at University and progressed to further studies in Exercise Science. She then attained her Fitness Leaders qualifications and became a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. She went on to work in the field of corporate wellness which solidified her passion for the promotion of public health, fitness and wellbeing. Mardi was first introduced to pilates in 1999 and immediately noticed the immense benefits and therefore began initial pilates studies in Sydney in 2000. Taking a break to travel the world as a flight attendant and become a mother of two, she returned to her love of group fitness and completed her Xtend Barre and Polestar Reformer Pilates qualifications. Mardi aims to provide clients with a challenging and varied workout with a focus on form, posture and developing strength.

Gemma’s first experience of yoga was in a tough Iyengar class in Leeds, UK. Originally a kickboxer, she loved the balance that it brought to her body and the mental clarity and health. Taking her first teacher training with Holly Coles at Preshana Vinyasa in 2014, Gemma has since completed Shiva Rea’s Mandala of Asanas with Chanel Luck, as well as Intermediate teacher training at BodyMindLife with Simon Park, Noelle Connolly, Jo Gates and Kat Clayton. Gemma’s classes are fun, flowing and uplifting, and set to an ever-evolving playlist of music that adds fluidity and a dance-like aspect to the practise.

Noelle Connolly has always been an athlete. A Philadelphia native, former Boston Terrier Field Hockey player and graduate of Boston University, she took her first yoga class in 2002, and fell in love with the practice – mentally, physically and spiritually. Noelle has a boundless curiosity for the practice, and is constantly driven to explore. She has a deep passion for inversions, harnessing the subtleties of the energetic body to defy gravity and move fluidly through space. Noelle’s classes are strong, creative and intelligent sequenced. Created to engage, refine and inspire, they are set to a background of meticulously curated music. She likes her students to leave class feeling informed, empowered and rejuvenated. A passionate and dedicated teacher, Noelle gives her all to her students. Vicki discovered yoga by accident in London over 10 years ago when she was working as a Senior Consultant in the Marketing recruitment industry. Her usual spin class was full, so she found herself in pigeon instead. A love affair began which continues today.Once she moved to Sydney she embarked on the first of many teacher trainings, and has now undertaken over 1000 hours of study with international teachers such as Tara Judelle, Noah Maze, Christina Sell, John Friend, and it is with her dear teachers Tara and Scott Lyons, who she continues her training with in the system of Embodied Flow™.
With experience in power vinyasa, anusara, yin and restorative yoga and Embodied Flow™, Vicki is passionate about intelligent movement which draws influence from many modalities. Aneta is internationally trained STOTT Pilates Instructor, a long-time passionate yogi and sports enthusiast. Aneta is from Prague, Czech Republic. Her fitness journey started in Sydney 2013 where she was exploring various yoga styles, including Vinyasa, Bikram and Kundalini. Whilst in Sydney she was introduced to Pilates and instantly found a connection. She moved back to Europe in 2016 and was teaching Pilates in Barcelona and Prague. Aneta likes to create sessions for each individuals needs from athletes wanting to maximise results, mothers rebuilding their bodies after child birth, rehabilitation from injuries and people who just want better performance from their bodies.

Kat brings an engaging, compassionate teaching style which radiates positive energy and warmth from the moment you step into her class. Skilfully weaving in dynamic sequencing, yogic philosophy and creative language, Kat provides a fun and challenging space for students to deepen their practice and connect to body, mind and spirit. After graduating with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology, Kat moved to Sydney in 2007 to complete her first 200 Hour training at BodyMindLife. The nature and adventure loving Colorado native has cultivated over 12 years experience as a dance, snowboarding and yoga educator, and is continually inspired by teachers and scholars Simon Park, Maty Ezraty, Baron Baptiste, Ana Forrest, and Georg Feuerstein. Barre Fusion is a low impact, high intensity class that combines pilates and ballet inspired movements on and off the Barre (or a chair). This full body workout will sculpt and chisel your muscles without adding bulk, increase flexibility and build cardiovascular endurance.
 
The exercises in this class can be adjusted to suit participants of all levels, and no dance experience is required. Resistance bands, balls and light hand weights are sometimes included, but are not essential

Mardi has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. Gaining qualifications in Psychology and Health Science at University and progressed to further studies in Exercise Science. She then attained her Fitness Leaders qualifications and became a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. She went on to work in the field of corporate wellness which solidified her passion for the promotion of public health, fitness and wellbeing. Mardi was first introduced to pilates in 1999 and immediately noticed the immense benefits and therefore began initial pilates studies in Sydney in 2000. Taking a break to travel the world as a flight attendant and become a mother of two, she returned to her love of group fitness and completed her Xtend Barre and Polestar Reformer Pilates qualifications. Mardi aims to provide clients with a challenging and varied workout with a focus on form, posture and developing strength.

Vee is passionate about the rehabilitative qualities of the practice and loves to break a sweat, in technical, contemporary whole-body classes that are fast and fun. Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. His classes embrace all these styles, playful and dynamic with fluid movement and strong, creative sequencing set to a background of uplifting beats that illustrate his love and passion for music.

Barre Fusion is a low impact, high intensity class that combines pilates and ballet inspired movements on and off the Barre (or a chair!).

Mel McLaughlin from the ‘The yin space’ - has been practicing, teaching and experiencing all that yoga, meditation and pranayama have to offer since a lengthy sojourn in India 19 yrs ago.
She has trained with some of the worlds most respected teachers of yoga, energetics and bodywork including Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley, Acupuncture with Dr.Daniel Keown, and Qi Gong with Robert Peng – and now includes all of this knowledge & experience into her own Yin Yoga teacher trainings and workshops Australia wide and throughout Europe.
Melanie has a background in dance and bodywork, which lends itself naturally to the flow and movement of asana yoga and an understanding of body mechanics. She is deeply curious about the energetic and esoteric having studied with Paul Balch, Kevin Farrow and includes this in her teachings with the belief we cannot address one body without the other.
Mel believes and has personally experienced Yoga and meditation to be great tools to ground us against the stresses of everyday life, release trauma and re-align to our most natural joyous selves, and enjoys facilitating this transformation in other beautiful humans through her chosen modalities of teaching students for the last 18 years.

About Bevan Pfeiffer

Bevan Pfeiffer

Bevan has been athletic since he was a kid, drawn to many sports and
playing rugby league at state level. Along with his athletic side he
always had a burning passion to be creative. It was in 2008 when
deciding to do an acting course in which he discovered yoga.
His curiosity was piqued, for the first time he felt a connection that
linked his mind body and soul together that he never felt before. This
led him down a path of Hatha, Bikram, Iyengar before settling into a
daily meditation and Vinyasa practice.
After graduating from the Western Australian Academy of
Performing Arts with a degree in acting, Bevan was ready to deepen
his understanding of yoga both spiritually and practically, and
decided to complete his teacher training with BodyMindLife under
the guidance of his teachers Noelle Connolly, Kat Clayton and
additional training with Joan Hyman and Shiva Rea in India.
With an understanding of contemporary movement styles blended
with his knowledge of anatomy and a deep understanding of yoga
asana Bevan is passionate about creating an experience which will
leave you feeling completely present in a world where we are
constantly distracted.

Tali first began practicing Pilates as a form of exercise over 6 years ago while working full-time in the corporate world. It was through this that she discovered the joys of this type of movement, walking out of every class feeling taller and more balanced along with noticing an increase in strength around her joints and overall flexibility. A true passion for Pilates was born and she is now STOTT certified in both Matwork and Reformer and trained on the full range of studio equipment. When you attend Tali’s group Reformer classes, you'll enjoy her lightness, her humour and her ability to make working hard so much fun. While always a stickler for technique, Tali aims to have her clients enjoy their Pilates session while achieving their goals and getting the workout they want.
