Mardi has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. Gaining qualifications in Psychology and Health Science at University and progressed to further studies in Exercise Science. She then attained her Fitness Leaders qualifications and became a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. She went on to work in the field of corporate wellness which solidified her passion for the promotion of public health, fitness and wellbeing. Mardi was first introduced to pilates in 1999 and immediately noticed the immense benefits and therefore began initial pilates studies in Sydney in 2000. Taking a break to travel the world as a flight attendant and become a mother of two, she returned to her love of group fitness and completed her Xtend Barre and Polestar Reformer Pilates qualifications. Mardi aims to provide clients with a challenging and varied workout with a focus on form, posture and developing strength.

Vicky started practising yoga while traveling in the United States. She instantly fell in love with the Ashtanga practice, and the strength and confidence it gave her.
In 2009, Vicky completed 200 hour teacher training with John Ogilvie and Judy Krump at Byron Yoga Centre, and followed with 500 hour Advanced training with Peter Clifford at Santosha Yoga Byron Bay in 2010. Since then she has studied with many teachers including Sarah Powers, Annie Carpenter, and in many styles including Acroyoga, Yin, Pre and Post Natal and Yoga Therapy. Vicky’s dynamic, alignment-focuses classes embrace the range of her knowledge, challenging and nurturing students, and helping them to create a safe and sustainable practice. She combines her knowledge of yoga with functional movement to balance strength and flexibility, with conscious body awareness and creative sequencing.

Ari Levanael

A well-travelled teacher, performer, photographer and adventurer, Ari teaches from the heart, uniting mind and body in a unique style that embraces both the traditional and the radical.

He has taught the physical disciplines of aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, stretching and circus skills for over 16 years and brings some of his favourite styles of yoga, including Jivamukti, Dharma Ashtanga, Rocket and Forrest yoga to his dynamic and flowing classes.

Ari completed his Yoga Alliance accredited 500+ hours teacher training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga, with teacher Bharath Shetty at Aanana Yoga in Mysore, India. A life changing experience, it opened a physical and spiritual awareness and rewarded him with a wealth of knowledge that he is happy to share with his students.

His practice and teaching style continues to evolve with the inspiration of his students, teacher and notably, BKS Iyengar, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Dharma Mittra, Sharon Gannon and David Life.

Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. His classes embrace all these styles, playful and dynamic with fluid movement and strong, creative sequencing set to a background of uplifting beats that illustrate his love and passion for music.

Sam B Belyea

Through a life time of curious exploration, Sam has developed a profound passion for somatics, body-mind integration and living life connected and in collaboration with Nature. The practice of weaving breath, movement, contemplation and meditation has allowed Sam to lean into and transverse the many layers and realms of our human experience, revealing a potent path for healing and mystery. Sam’s teachings are rich yet explorative and playful, threading somatic movement with poetic rhetoric and embodied philosophy. After ten years in the corporate world Chelsey left behind a career in PR and Marketing spanning across Melbourne and London to pursue a career in Pilates, a passion she has always held. Chelsey knows, from first hand experience, how important a strong core is after having experienced her own back injury and seeing first hand the results of dedicated Pilates practice. After four years of dedicated teaching and now a Teacher Trainer and Instructor, Chelsey has a dedication and drive for Pilates which shines through in all of her classes ensuring correct body alignment and biomechanics.

All the things you love about Barre in an express 30 minute workout!
 
Barre Fusion is a low impact, high intensity class that combines pilates and ballet inspired movements on and off the Barre (or a chair!).

It aims to sculpt and chisel your muscles without adding bulk. This full body workout is created for all fitness levels and has a focus on developing strength, tone, balance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance.

This class is designed to be modified or progressed to suit all ability and levels with no dance background required.
Props including resistance bands, balls and light hand weights are sometimes used during class but are optional and not essential.

Mel McLaughlin from the ‘The yin space’ - has been practicing, teaching and experiencing all that yoga, meditation and pranayama have to offer since a lengthy sojourn in India 19 yrs ago.
She has trained with some of the worlds most respected teachers of yoga, energetics and bodywork including Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley, Acupuncture with Dr.Daniel Keown, and Qi Gong with Robert Peng – and now includes all of this knowledge & experience into her own Yin Yoga teacher trainings and workshops Australia wide and throughout Europe.
Melanie has a background in dance and bodywork, which lends itself naturally to the flow and movement of asana yoga and an understanding of body mechanics. She is deeply curious about the energetic and esoteric having studied with Paul Balch, Kevin Farrow and includes this in her teachings with the belief we cannot address one body without the other.
Mel believes and has personally experienced Yoga and meditation to be great tools to ground us against the stresses of everyday life, release trauma and re-align to our most natural joyous selves, and enjoys facilitating this transformation in other beautiful humans through her chosen modalities of teaching students for the last 18 years.

Laura has always been fascinated with physical movement and its effect on her state of being. Four years ago, she was drawn to yoga as a reprieve from her office job and a means of exercise. She quickly fell in love with all aspects of the practice and the sense of coming home it provides. What began as a lunch-time obsession has started a lifelong journey. Now, Laura wants to help people find balance, space and stillness and encourage them to reawaken to their sensing bodies and inner wisdom. By linking movement with breath, she encourages students to find freedom and flow mindfully.

Originally from Munich, Germany, when Vee moved to Sydney in 2009 she fell in love with the beaches. They also made her more body aware and she started running regularly. After a lack of core stability, poor alignment and a long career in hospitality led to a number of injuries, she found Pilates and changed her life! Vee is passionate about the rehabilitative qualities of the practice and loves to break a sweat, in technical, contemporary whole-body classes that are fast and fun. Vicki discovered yoga by accident in London over 10 years ago when she was working as a Senior Consultant in the Marketing recruitment industry. Her usual spin class was full, so she found herself in pigeon instead. A love affair began which continues today.Once she moved to Sydney she embarked on the first of many teacher trainings, and has now undertaken over 1000 hours of study with international teachers such as Tara Judelle, Noah Maze, Christina Sell, John Friend, and it is with her dear teachers Tara and Scott Lyons, who she continues her training with in the system of Embodied Flow™.
With experience in power vinyasa, anusara, yin and restorative yoga and Embodied Flow™, Vicki is passionate about intelligent movement which draws influence from many modalities. Expect to work hard, and laugh a lot in her classes whilst moving safely through unique sequences and into shapes you never knew existed.

Bevan Pfeiffer

Bevan has been athletic since he was a kid, drawn to many sports and
playing rugby league at state level. Along with his athletic side he
always had a burning passion to be creative. It was in 2008 when
deciding to do an acting course in which he discovered yoga.
His curiosity was piqued, for the first time he felt a connection that
linked his mind body and soul together that he never felt before. This
led him down a path of Hatha, Bikram, Iyengar before settling into a
daily meditation and Vinyasa practice.
After graduating from the Western Australian Academy of
Performing Arts with a degree in acting, Bevan was ready to deepen
his understanding of yoga both spiritually and practically, and
decided to complete his teacher training with BodyMindLife under
the guidance of his teachers Noelle Connolly, Kat Clayton and
additional training with Joan Hyman and Shiva Rea in India.
With an understanding of contemporary movement styles blended
with his knowledge of anatomy and a deep understanding of yoga
asana Bevan is passionate about creating an experience which will
leave you feeling completely present in a world where we are
constantly distracted.

Aimee Pedersen

Aimee Pedersen is a yoga teacher, actress and writer. She has found a deeper and more authentic relationship with movement and ultimately herself, through the practice of yoga. Her practice and teaching is steeped in the teachings of her mentor Tara Judelle, who she assists in the Embodied Flow trainings around the world, and influenced by the non dualist Tantric teaching of Kasmir Shaivism.
 
She believes the postures form a beautiful platform from which we can explore our own layers, and create a unique personal journey. Her teaching stems from her own awakening, and she is passionate about guiding others towards embodiment.
 
Aimee facilitates retreats in Australia and around the world. She has recently returned from teaching in Europe and Bali and has more unique offerings in the works.

Three and a half years ago something happened that would drastically change the course of my life forever? i stepped into a yoga studio. At the time I was looking for something to compliment my weight training, and had no idea what to expect from yoga. It was hard, hot and I had no idea what half the words meant, but at the end of the practice I felt a sense of euphoria which I?d not yet experienced. At the time I wasn?t sure what it was but I knew I wanted to experience it again. From that day on I haven?t looked back. As my fascination and obsession with yoga grew, my weight training was outshined by my new obsession. Whether its learning new asana, cultivating pranayama techniques or diving deeper into yogic philosophy I find myself discovering and learning much more about myself each day. Being able to push and challenge myself physically, mentally and spiritually all at once is truly incredible. With 250hr Teacher Training experience, I have amassed well over 1000 hours practical teaching experience in my first 12 months of teaching. Along with photoshoots with world renowned clothing brand LuLuLemon and franchise Yogabar. I have also been lucky enough to teach at Australias two biggest Yoga juggernaut companies; Powerliving & Bodymindlife. My biggest inspirations in the world of Yoga would have to be Patrick Beach & Dylan Werner, both of which I have been lucky enough to learn from. Their culmination of strength, grace & knowledge is something I constantly aspire to, and their world class hand balancing expertise has ignited a fire in me I'm sure will never go out. Yoga is not just a physical practice but a way of life? my way of life, which i wish to share with the world.

Barre Fusion is a low impact, high intensity class that combines pilates and ballet inspired movements on and off the Barre (or a chair!).

It aims to sculpt and chisel your muscles without adding bulk. This full body workout is created for all fitness levels and has a focus on developing strength, tone, balance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance.

This class is designed to be modified or progressed to suit all ability and levels with no dance background required.
Props including resistance bands, balls and light hand weights are sometimes used during class but are optional and not essential.

Mardi has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. Gaining qualifications in Psychology and Health Science at University and progressed to further studies in Exercise Science. She then attained her Fitness Leaders qualifications and became a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. She went on to work in the field of corporate wellness which solidified her passion for the promotion of public health, fitness and wellbeing. Mardi was first introduced to pilates in 1999 and immediately noticed the immense benefits and therefore began initial pilates studies in Sydney in 2000. Taking a break to travel the world as a flight attendant and become a mother of two, she returned to her love of group fitness and completed her Xtend Barre and Polestar Reformer Pilates qualifications. Mardi aims to provide clients with a challenging and varied workout with a focus on form, posture and developing strength.

Norma grew up in London, U.K and has a deep passion for music, architecture, travel, motorbikes & of course YOGA. After completing a degree in architecture and coming to a cross roads in her career, she made the decision to travel the world. She found herself settling in Thailand for a number of years, which was the start of a personal journey of self- discovery, where she found Buddhism, Yoga, Meditation and a passion for teaching. Norma then completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 at Body Mind Life in Sydney, under the guidance of Noelle Connolly and Kat Clayton and since then has added several other modules to her portfolio including ... Creative sequencing, The relationship between Science, Music & Yoga, The Art of Alignment & Assists And Embodying Yoga Philosophy... to name a few. An Architect once described the relationship between yoga, meditation and architecture so perfectly... "Yoga & meditation, like Architecture, are about our awareness and space. The physical postures, the shapes we make with our bodies when joined with a curiosity about our minds, help us to develop a sense of internal spaciousness." With over 1000 hours of teacher training, and heading into her tenth year of teaching, Beth's classes are intelligently sequenced to ensure that you move at a slower pace, giving time for your muscles to heat, energy to build and an opportunity to delve deeper within, both physically and emotionally, and so discover the true medicine that is yoga.

Beth reminds you to honour your body – its strengths and weaknesses - to prevent injury and build stamina, balance and inner calm. You'll learn how to synchronise your breath with movement to cultivate a moving meditation, creating a delicious synchronicity between body, mind, spirit and soul.

Formerly a massage therapist, Sarah is a self-confessed ‘body geek’ and is fascinated by the way emotions manifest in the physical body. Vicky started practising yoga while traveling in the United States. She instantly fell in love with the Ashtanga practice, and the strength and confidence it gave her.
In 2009, Vicky completed 200 hour teacher training with John Ogilvie and Judy Krump at Byron Yoga Centre, and followed with 500 hour Advanced training with Peter Clifford at Santosha Yoga Byron Bay in 2010. Since then she has studied with many teachers including Sarah Powers, Annie Carpenter, and in many styles including Acroyoga, Yin, Pre and Post Natal and Yoga Therapy. Vicky’s dynamic, alignment-focuses classes embrace the range of her knowledge, challenging and nurturing students, and helping them to create a safe and sustainable practice. Ari Levanael

A well-travelled teacher, performer, photographer and adventurer, Ari teaches from the heart, uniting mind and body in a unique style that embraces both the traditional and the radical.

He has taught the physical disciplines of aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, stretching and circus skills for over 16 years and brings some of his favourite styles of yoga, including Jivamukti, Dharma Ashtanga, Rocket and Forrest yoga to his dynamic and flowing classes.

Ari completed his Yoga Alliance accredited 500+ hours teacher training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga, with teacher Bharath Shetty at Aanana Yoga in Mysore, India. A life changing experience, it opened a physical and spiritual awareness and rewarded him with a wealth of knowledge that he is happy to share with his students.

His practice and teaching style continues to evolve with the inspiration of his students, teacher and notably, BKS Iyengar, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Dharma Mittra, Sharon Gannon and David Life.

Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. His classes embrace all these styles, playful and dynamic with fluid movement and strong, creative sequencing set to a background of uplifting beats that illustrate his love and passion for music.

She went on to work in the field of corporate wellness which solidified her passion for the promotion of public health, fitness and wellbeing. Mardi was first introduced to pilates in 1999 and immediately noticed the immense benefits and therefore began initial pilates studies in Sydney in 2000. Taking a break to travel the world as a flight attendant and become a mother of two, she returned to her love of group fitness and completed her Xtend Barre and Polestar Reformer Pilates qualifications. Mardi aims to provide clients with a challenging and varied workout with a focus on form, posture and developing strength.

Mel McLaughlin from the ‘The yin space’ - has been practicing, teaching and experiencing all that yoga, meditation and pranayama have to offer since a lengthy sojourn in India 19 yrs ago.
She has trained with some of the worlds most respected teachers of yoga, energetics and bodywork including Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley, Acupuncture with Dr.Daniel Keown, and Qi Gong with Robert Peng – and now includes all of this knowledge & experience into her own Yin Yoga teacher trainings and workshops Australia wide and throughout Europe.
Melanie has a background in dance and bodywork, which lends itself naturally to the flow and movement of asana yoga and an understanding of body mechanics. She is deeply curious about the energetic and esoteric having studied with Paul Balch, Kevin Farrow and includes this in her teachings with the belief we cannot address one body without the other.
Mel believes and has personally experienced Yoga and meditation to be great tools to ground us against the stresses of everyday life, release trauma and re-align to our most natural joyous selves, and enjoys facilitating this transformation in other beautiful humans through her chosen modalities of teaching students for the last 18 years.

Noelle Connolly has always been an athlete. A Philadelphia native, former Boston Terrier Field Hockey player and graduate of Boston University, she took her first yoga class in 2002, and fell in love with the practice – mentally, physically and spiritually. Noelle has a boundless curiosity for the practice, and is constantly driven to explore. She has a deep passion for inversions, harnessing the subtleties of the energetic body to defy gravity and move fluidly through space. Noelle’s classes are strong, creative and intelligent sequenced. Created to engage, refine and inspire, they are set to a background of meticulously curated music. She likes her students to leave class feeling informed, empowered and rejuvenated. A passionate and dedicated teacher, Noelle gives her all to her students. Vicki discovered yoga by accident in London over 10 years ago when she was working as a Senior Consultant in the Marketing recruitment industry. Her usual spin class was full, so she found herself in pigeon instead. A love affair began which continues today.Once she moved to Sydney she embarked on the first of many teacher trainings, and has now undertaken over 1000 hours of study with international teachers such as Tara Judelle, Noah Maze, Christina Sell, John Friend, and it is with her dear teachers Tara and Scott Lyons, who she continues her training with in the system of Embodied Flow™.
With experience in power vinyasa, anusara, yin and restorative yoga and Embodied Flow™, Vicki is passionate about intelligent movement which draws influence from many modalities. A well-travelled teacher, performer, photographer and adventurer, Ari teaches from the heart, uniting mind and body in a unique style that embraces both the traditional and the radical.

He has taught the physical disciplines of aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, stretching and circus skills for over 16 years and brings some of his favourite styles of yoga, including Jivamukti, Dharma Ashtanga, Rocket and Forrest yoga to his dynamic and flowing classes.

Ari completed his Yoga Alliance accredited 500+ hours teacher training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga, with teacher Bharath Shetty at Aanana Yoga in Mysore, India. A life changing experience, it opened a physical and spiritual awareness and rewarded him with a wealth of knowledge that he is happy to share with his students.

His practice and teaching style continues to evolve with the inspiration of his students, teacher and notably, BKS Iyengar, Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Dharma Mittra, Sharon Gannon and David Life.

Bevan Pfeiffer

Bevan has been athletic since he was a kid, drawn to many sports and
playing rugby league at state level. Along with his athletic side he
always had a burning passion to be creative. It was in 2008 when
deciding to do an acting course in which he discovered yoga.
His curiosity was piqued, for the first time he felt a connection that
linked his mind body and soul together that he never felt before. This
led him down a path of Hatha, Bikram, Iyengar before settling into a
daily meditation and Vinyasa practice.
After graduating from the Western Australian Academy of
Performing Arts with a degree in acting, Bevan was ready to deepen
his understanding of yoga both spiritually and practically, and
decided to complete his teacher training with BodyMindLife under
the guidance of his teachers Noelle Connolly, Kat Clayton and
additional training with Joan Hyman and Shiva Rea in India.
With an understanding of contemporary movement styles blended
with his knowledge of anatomy and a deep understanding of yoga
asana Bevan is passionate about creating an experience which will
leave you feeling completely present in a world where we are
constantly distracted.

Aimee Pedersen

Aimee Pedersen is a yoga teacher, actress and writer. She has found a deeper and more authentic relationship with movement and ultimately herself, through the practice of yoga. Her practice and teaching is steeped in the teachings of her mentor Tara Judelle, who she assists in the Embodied Flow trainings around the world, and influenced by the non dualist Tantric teaching of Kasmir Shaivism.
 
She believes the postures form a beautiful platform from which we can explore our own layers, and create a unique personal journey. Her teaching stems from her own awakening, and she is passionate about guiding others towards embodiment.
 
Aimee facilitates retreats in Australia and around the world. She has recently returned from teaching in Europe and Bali and has more unique offerings in the works.

Three and a half years ago something happened that would drastically change the course of my life forever? i stepped into a yoga studio. At the time I was looking for something to compliment my weight training, and had no idea what to expect from yoga. It was hard, hot and I had no idea what half the words meant, but at the end of the practice I felt a sense of euphoria which I?d not yet experienced. At the time I wasn?t sure what it was but I knew I wanted to experience it again. From that day on I haven?t looked back. As my fascination and obsession with yoga grew, my weight training was outshined by my new obsession. Whether its learning new asana, cultivating pranayama techniques or diving deeper into yogic philosophy I find myself discovering and learning much more about myself each day. Being able to push and challenge myself physically, mentally and spiritually all at once is truly incredible. With 250hr Teacher Training experience, I have amassed well over 1000 hours practical teaching experience in my first 12 months of teaching. Along with photoshoots with world renowned clothing brand LuLuLemon and franchise Yogabar. I have also been lucky enough to teach at Australias two biggest Yoga juggernaut companies; Powerliving & Bodymindlife. My biggest inspirations in the world of Yoga would have to be Patrick Beach & Dylan Werner, both of which I have been lucky enough to learn from. Their culmination of strength, grace & knowledge is something I constantly aspire to, and their world class hand balancing expertise has ignited a fire in me I'm sure will never go out. Yoga is not just a physical practice but a way of life? my way of life, which i wish to share with the world.

All the things you love about Barre in an express 30 minute workout!
 
Barre Fusion is a low impact, high intensity class that combines pilates and ballet inspired movements on and off the Barre (or a chair!).

It aims to sculpt and chisel your muscles without adding bulk. This full body workout is created for all fitness levels and has a focus on developing strength, tone, balance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance.

This class is designed to be modified or progressed to suit all ability and levels with no dance background required.
Props including resistance bands, balls and light hand weights are sometimes used during class but are optional and not essential.

Norma grew up in London, U.K and has a deep passion for music, architecture, travel, motorbikes & of course YOGA. After completing a degree in architecture and coming to a cross roads in her career, she made the decision to travel the world. She found herself settling in Thailand for a number of years, which was the start of a personal journey of self- discovery, where she found Buddhism, Yoga, Meditation and a passion for teaching. Norma then completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 at Body Mind Life in Sydney, under the guidance of Noelle Connolly and Kat Clayton and since then has added several other modules to her portfolio including ... Creative sequencing, The relationship between Science, Music & Yoga, The Art of Alignment & Assists And Embodying Yoga Philosophy... to name a few. An Architect once described the relationship between yoga, meditation and architecture so perfectly... "Yoga & meditation, like Architecture, are about our awareness and space. Under the influence of very happy and healthy parents Christie grew up in a gym and from around the age of 9 knew she wanted to teach movement one day too. At 20 she started her own business: the BOD squad, an outdoor bootcamp at various parks around Toronto. From there she grew clients and a name for herself. Sarah Routhier

Sarah loves to create purposeful sequencing that prepares the body to move towards deep, expansive poses in an intelligent way. Her playful classes often incorporate music, mandalas, theming and props, switching on the brain as well as the body and challenging her students to pay attention.
Formerly a massage therapist, Sarah is a self-confessed ‘body geek’ and is fascinated by the way emotions manifest in the physical body. A hands-on teacher, her healing adjustments will invite you into physical and energetic alignment. Sarah is inspired and informed by her teachers, Noelle Connolly, Megan Currie, Kate Gillespie, Amica Hilton, Maty Ezraty and Simon Park, and is part of the Teacher Training Team at BodyMindLife.

Passionate, supportive, creative and friendly would be some of the words Chelsey’s clients would use to describe her teaching style. Her keen eye for movement, attention to detail, and encouraging approach ensure her clients get the most of each session. She believes fitness should be fun, so be prepared to laugh in each session!

After ten years in the corporate world Chelsey left behind a career in PR and Marketing spanning across Melbourne and London to pursue a career in Pilates, a passion she has always held. Chelsey knows, from first hand experience, how important a strong core is after having experienced her own back injury and seeing first hand the results of dedicated Pilates practice. After four years of dedicated teaching and now a Teacher Trainer and Instructor, Chelsey has a dedication and drive for Pilates which shines through in all of her classes ensuring correct body alignment and biomechanics.

Chelsey is always on the lookout for new challenges and exciting experiences. Constantly educating herself in all things 'wellbeing', Chelsey believes in connecting the mind and body and aims to empower her clients with classes that will leave you feeling invigorated, balanced and motivated!
