Dive deeper into the heart yoga, explore Philosophy of Yoga and learn to weave the teachings into your everyday life and themes into your classes to make your teaching more inspiring, connected and vibrant.

In this training you will draw from from two classical texts: Explore the main themes of the Bhagavad Gita (dharma, compassion, etc) discuss how to weave it into your daily life on and off the yoga mat. You will learn, chant and discuss some of the most important Yoga Sutras, and unpack major themes of the epic Bhagavad Gita. Exploring their relevance and application as a teacher and student in the modern world.

Also, you’ll practice and learn more about the key aspects of tantric teachings which are at the very root of what we now call Hatha yoga.

Embrace the importance of this philosophical school and come to understand the key aspect of Tantra; that our embodiment is the vehicle for our awakening.

These teachings will bring a deeper understanding of yourself and your practice. Get confident about weaving this very powerful philosophy into classes, inspiring students to practice yoga on and off the mat.

“The mark of such a yogi is joy filled amazement” – The Shiva Sutra Gain a broad context of classical texts- Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra and the Bhagavad Gita- and understand where they sit in terms of classical philosophy and our understanding of yoga today.

1.Bhagavad Gita – main themes, ideas of dharma + karma, bhakti, mental clarity, compassion

2. Yoga Sutras going through each chapter, chanting to learn traditional way

Incorporating + bringing into teaching (themes)
Bringing into Lives (in a modern way)

3. Tantra Yoga

The philosophy of the Tantric Teachings, namely Tantric Shivism, is largely misunderstood and misrepresented in the world today. But these teachings give us a powerful access point to the understanding and development of our modern yoga practice. In fact, the tantric teachings are at the very root of what we now call Hatha yoga.
These teachings are profoundly accessible to the modern yogi as we each have the same technology the ancients used to uncover their true nature and their profound connection to all of life; the human form.
We will explore the key teachings of the Shiva Sutra and The Nataraj (the dancing Shiva) to reveal how we, as human beings, are a contracted form (or expression of), the one infinite and divine consciousness.

4. Theming Philosophy in classes
