If you’re new to the mat or reformer beds, begin your practice with our Yoga Essentials and Pilates Align classes before progressing to Yoga Open, Progressive and reformer Pilates Flow.

CLASS INFORMATION - Reformer Pilates Align

Pilates Align classes are for those who are new to Pilates or more experienced practitioners who want to fine-tune their current practice and technique. Enough of a workout to get your endorphins flowing but with an emphasis on control and precision. Suitable for those recovering from injury and post natal clients.

YOUR TEACHER - Sorcha Horgan

A qualified Stott Pilates instructor Sorcha embraces all things health and wellbeing. Having practised Yoga for some time Sorcha tried her first reformer class 8 years ago and became hooked on how amazingly strong her body felt.
As well as being qualified in both Mat and Reformer Pilates Sorcha has completed a Cert IV in Sports and Fitness and is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

Her teaching style is fun, dynamic, challenging and energetic....expect to feel the burn! Sorcha's mission is to help clients feel good about themselves and hope that they walk away from each class feeling happier and stronger, both mentally and physically.Having experienced the benefits of mindful movement and what a positive difference Pilates has made to her own journey Sorcha is grateful to have the opportunity to help other people achieve this too.

CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Open 26°C

Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Temperature: Classes temperature is approximately 26°C. The room may be heated to achieve this temperature. As we don’t use air conditioning, the room will still be warm in summer. We recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

Pregnancy: Experienced yogis are welcome to attend after a check in with your doctor. We ask that you attend at least two Prenatal yoga classes before coming to class, so you can learn how to modify to suit the stage of your pregnancy. We do not recommend practising yoga during your first trimester.

YOUR TEACHER - Sarah Routhier

Sarah loves to create purposeful sequencing that prepares the body to move towards deep, expansive poses in an intelligent way. Her playful classes often incorporate music, mandalas, theming and props, switching on the brain as well as the body and challenging her students to pay attention.
Formerly a massage therapist, Sarah is a self-confessed ‘body geek’ and is fascinated by the way emotions manifest in the physical body. A hands-on teacher, her healing adjustments will invite you into physical and energetic alignment. Sarah is inspired and informed by her teachers, Noelle Connolly, Megan Currie, Kate Gillespie, Amica Hilton, Maty Ezraty and Simon Park, and is part of the Teacher Training Team at BodyMindLife.

CLASS INFORMATION - Reformer Pilates Flow

Pilates Flow build on the foundations built in Align.  You'll move through a challenging series of exercises that incorporate functional movement patterns to strengthen, tone, firm and balance your body, improve posture and prevent injury.  Not suitable for beginners to Reformer Pilates, those with injuries or during pregnancy

YOUR TEACHER - Courtenay Perks

Courtenay's classes are dynamic, challenging and strong; using a mix of both contemporary and traditional styles. Classes are focused on alignment, flow, breath, and fun. Participants are given a full workout and leave feeling empowered. Courtenay is a Stott Pilates trained Instructor, as well as long time passionate Yogi. Movement has always been an important part of her life. After beginning Pilates training herself for rehab, due to experiencing multiple injuries (and having 4 babies), Courtenay fell head over heels in love with Reformer Pilates for its mindful movement, effective strength building, and ability to fine tune and rehabilitate muscle imbalance and injury. She has completed formal trainings with Stott Pilates Instructor Trainers Wayne Seeto and Chael Hilton, and Yoga Educators Duncan Peak, Emee Dillon, Keenan Crisp, Sol Ulbrich and Adam Whiting. When Courtenay is not doing Pilates, or Yoga, she's probably perfecting a recipe for a healthy chocolate tart.

CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Open 30°C

Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Classes vary in focus and pace, and from teacher to teacher, and we encouraged you to move within the boundaries of your experience level. We recommend Yoga Open classes to those with prior yoga experience. If you're new to vinyasa, please attend 4-6 Yoga Essentials classes before trying our Open classes.

Temperature: Classes are heated to approximately 30°C. We do our best to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

YOUR TEACHER - Aimee Pedersen

Aimee Pedersen is a yoga teacher, actress and writer. She has found a deeper and more authentic relationship with movement and ultimately herself, through the practice of yoga. Her practice and teaching is steeped in the teachings of her mentor Tara Judelle, who she assists in the Embodied Flow trainings around the world, and influenced by the non dualist Tantric teaching of Kasmir Shaivism.
 
She believes the postures form a beautiful platform from which we can explore our own layers, and create a unique personal journey. Her teaching stems from her own awakening, and she is passionate about guiding others towards embodiment.
 
Aimee facilitates retreats in Australia and around the world. She has recently returned from teaching in Europe and Bali and has more unique offerings in the works.
