Aimee Pedersen is a yoga teacher, actress and writer. She has found a deeper and more authentic relationship with movement and ultimately herself, through the practice of yoga. Her practice and teaching is steeped in the teachings of her mentor Tara Judelle, who she assists in the Embodied Flow trainings around the world, and influenced by the non dualist Tantric teaching of Kasmir Shaivism. She believes the postures form a beautiful platform from which we can explore our own layers, and create a unique personal journey. Her teaching stems from her own awakening, and she is passionate about guiding others towards embodiment. Aimee facilitates retreats in Australia and around the world. She has recently returned from teaching in Europe and Bali and has more unique offerings in the works.

YOUR TEACHER - Claire Blackwood

Claire's journey with yoga began in 2008. She found it was a great way to help combat the stress of working late nights as a restaurant manager. Although the physical benefits of the practice were obvious to her, what had the most profound impact was the greater connection and respect she gained for her body. Always an active person, she fell in love with yoga not only for the physical components but for its profound ability to heal and transform.
Claire did her 200 hour teacher training at the Byron Yoga Centre; a Pre and Post Natal yoga training with Bliss Baby Yoga; an intermediate teacher training at Body Mind Life with Simon Park, Noelle Connolly and Kat Clayton; and Maty Ezraty's teacher training in 2016.
Her classes are playful and energetic and she encourages her students to practice with an open mind and a sense of curiosity.

Andrew came to yoga after years of Rugby Union and surfboat rowing - suffering chronic back pain. He was told by doctors that he would take years to heal. After a dozen yoga classes he was pain-free. From his initial training as a Bikram yoga teacher he studied Power Yoga with Baron Baptiste, Hatha Yoga with Wade Morrissette and is mentored by the phenomenal Mark Breadner. His classes are strong and sweaty, funny and joyous, and backed with fabulous knowledge. He communicates in his own unique style, weaving ancient wisdom with a concrete understanding of modern life.

Sarah loves to create purposeful sequencing that prepare the body to move towards deep, expansive poses in an intelligent way. Her playful classes often incorporate music, mandalas, theming and props, switching on the brain as well as the body and challenging her students to pay attention. Formerly a massage therapist, Sarah is a self-confessed ‘body geek’ and is fascinated by the way emotions manifest in the physical body. A hands-on teacher, her healing adjustments will invite you into physical and energetic alignment. Sarah is inspired and informed by her teachers, Noelle Connolly, Megan Currie, Kate Gillespie, Amica Hilton, Maty Ezraty and Simon Park, and is part of the Teacher Training Team at BodyMindLife.

YOUR TEACHER - Christian Ralston

Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. His classes embrace all these styles, exuding a strong and playful teaching style that radiates energy. His gentle nature, natural athleticism and deep house heart keeps his students engaged and uplifted, giving them the space to experiment and explore.

CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Open 30°C

Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Classes vary in focus and pace, and from teacher to teacher, and we encouraged you to move within the boundaries of your experience level. We recommend Yoga Open classes to those with prior yoga experience. If you're new to vinyasa, please attend 4-6 Yoga Essentials classes before trying our Open classes.

Temperature: Classes are heated to approximately 30°C. We do our best to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

YOUR TEACHER - Christian Ralston

Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. His classes embrace all these styles, exuding a strong and playful teaching style that radiates energy. His gentle nature, natural athleticism and deep house heart keeps his students engaged and uplifted, giving them the space to experiment and explore.

CLASS INFORMATION - Pilates Flow

Pilates Flow classes build on the foundations built in Align. You’ll move through a challenging series of exercises that incorporate functional movement patterns to strengthen, tone, firm and balance your body, improve posture and prevent injury. Not suitable for beginners to Reformer Pilates, those with injuries or during pregnancy.

YOUR TEACHER - Cloe Bunter

Cloe is a STOTT certified Pilates instructor who left the corporate world in July 2013 to pursue her passion for all things Pilates full time. Cloe’s personal journey through her own Pilates practice to rehab a back injury has allowed her to gain a thorough knowledge of the bodies systems, as well as empathise and connect with her clients. Cloe’s keen interest in the biomechanics of the human body keeps her classes innovative, functional and dynamic, as she researches and explores traditional and modern movement modalities.
Cloe teaches with enthusiasm, joy and attention to technique to ensure all her clients get the full benefit from every class. Cloe’s classes will challenge and increase your strength and stability in a fun and encouraging environment where you are guaranteed to work up a sweat and leave with a smile.

CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Chill Flow

Chill Flow classes carve flow through a voluptuous sequence that melts the body open with delicious hip openers and prepares the body for long, deep holds. Move from pose to counter pose, creating a full-spectrum experience for the body that will leave you feeling centered, whole and extremely relaxed. A yin and yang experience.

YOUR TEACHER - Tash Pinter

Tash completed her first teacher training in traditional Ashtanga with Iyengar adjustment and technique with Himalaya Yoga Valley in Goa, India under the instruction of Yogacharya Lalit Kumar. She has completed an Anatomic yoga training with Dr Ray Long and advanced teacher training at BodyMindLife. She continually draws inspiration from her teachers Noelle Connolly, Simon Park and Kat Clayton. Tash’s classes guide students through an empowering practice that encourages self exploration of the body, mind and spirit infusing traditional Ashtanga and Iyengar into a fluid flow.

BodyMindLife Bondi Beach Location

BodyMindLife Bondi Beach offers yoga and pilates classes, workshops and special events. The studio is located at 40 Hall Street, Bondi Beach, between Consett Avenue and Chambers Street. It is a 20 minute walk from Bondi Junction Station, a two minute walk from Bondi Beach and close to major bus routes. Limited metered and unmetered street parking is available around the studio. Parking inspectors are vigilant.
