Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Classes vary in focus and pace, and from teacher to teacher, and we encouraged you to move within the boundaries of your experience level. We recommend Yoga Open classes to those with prior yoga experience. If you're new to vinyasa, please attend 4-6 Yoga Essentials classes before trying our Open classes.

Temperature: Classes are heated to approximately 30°C. We do our best to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

YOUR TEACHER - Aly Clarke

Aly brings a playful approach to the practice that combines strong, creative and considered sequencing, with her passion for the evocative power of language. A former runner and art director, she became transfixed by the space and calm she found within the movement of the yoga practice, and left the ferocity of ad agency life to the relative calm of yoga teacher training in New York City. Since her original training at Laughing Lotus NYC in 2011, she has completed over 500 hours of study with teachers and mentors including Noelle Connolly, Maty Ezraty, Emily Stone, Jasmine Tarkeshi and Kate Kendall. A writer and designer, her background in music, fashion and the arts informs the words and visuals she creates as the brand and events manager of BodyMindLife, translating the studio’s vision of empowering transformation in a unique, spirited and accessible manner.

Essentials classes build the foundations of your AntiGravity practice. You’ll learn the grips, traps, wraps and techniques that will keep you safe as you move into your inversion practice and build the confidence to free swing. We recommend students who are new to AntiGravity, or have had some time away, begin with 3-4 Essentials classes.

A stressed out, sleep deprived, executive corporate manager Dee started Anti Gravity yoga and her life began to change. For the better. While unable to perfectly perform the poses she loved the group who were trying their best and having fun while reaping the health benefits.As Dee continued with classes, her body started to respond to the stretches, finding flexibility and building strength. She practiced the breathing techniques when driving in heavy traffic, tried out mat yoga classes in different styles. Everything she had heard about yoga began to make sense – the connection with the body and breath, realisation of inner strength, the sense of calm and harmony that spilled into all elements of her life. BodyMindLife Redfern Location

BodyMindLife Redfern offers yoga and anti gravity classes, workshops and special events. The studio is located at 15/245 Chalmers Street, between Redfern and Turner Streets. Enter through the main gates, hook a left and head up the stairs. It is a five minute walk from Redfern Station and close to major bus routes. Limited metered and unmetered street parking is available around the studio. Parking inspectors are vigilant.
