CLASS INFORMATION - Pilates Flow

Pilates Flow classes build on the foundations built in Align. You’ll move through a challenging series of exercises that incorporate functional movement patterns to strengthen, tone, firm and balance your body, improve posture and prevent injury. Not suitable for beginners to Reformer Pilates, those with injuries or during pregnancy.

YOUR TEACHER - Narelle Clark

Narelle is a fully registered Pilates instructor, comprehensively trained by the Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA) in 2007. This registration enables clients to receive rebates from their health insurance companies if they have Pilates rehabilitation included in their cover. Additional to her Pilates qualifications Narelle holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Health Science, a Diploma in Fitness and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.Having worked in some of Sydney’s best private Pilates studios she has diverse experience with the Pilates equipment including the Cadillac, Wunda Chair & Reformer. She has a nurturing and confident approach to issues and injuries within the body and strongly believes Pilates is for everybody. She loves interacting with people and not only shares her Pilates and health knowledge but she loves to educate clients about their body - empowering them to achieve a higher level of wellbeing .On a personal level, Narelle is a Surry Hills girl, born and bred in the area with strong historical connections to the areas colorful past. When not teaching Pilates she is busy with her two children. Narelle currently teaches at our Surry Hills and Bondi studios and is available for private sessions.

Pilates Align classes are for those who are new to Pilates or more experienced practitioners who want to fine-tune their current practice and technique. Enough of a workout to get your endorphins flowing but with an emphasis on control and precision. Suitable for those recovering from injury and post natal clients.

Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Classes vary in focus and pace, and from teacher to teacher, and we encouraged you to move within the boundaries of your experience level. We recommend Yoga Open classes to those with prior yoga experience. If you're new to vinyasa, please attend 4-6 Yoga Essentials classes before trying our Open classes.

Temperature: Classes are heated to approximately 30°C. We do our best to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

Amelia has over five years experience within the fitness industry as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. She has a strong background in strength and conditioning and recently became the Universe Fitness Model Champion for ANB 2016.
Amelia's passion for Pilates began three years ago. She wanted to compliment her strength and high intensity training with postural and core stability exercises. Falling in love with Pilates, she continued her studies to become a Pilates Reformer Instructor.Incorporating her knowledge as a strength and conditioning coach, Amelia likes to empower her class through strong and challenging movements, focusing on functional movement, unilateral and stability exercises. She encourages her class to be body aware, executing each movement safely and with good technique. Her mission is for everyone to leave her class feeling stronger, sweaty and with a smile on your face.

Become more aware of what arises in each moment, and learn to make more informed decisions. Our accessible meditations support you to develop clarity and focus, and more effective response to the challenges of living. Classes are open to people of all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to those with an existing meditation practice.

YOUR TEACHER - Daragh Byrne

Daragh has traditionally made his living with the power of his mind, having been involved in science and software development for most of his professional life. Ensuring that the mind is in good working order can be challenging. Daragh teaches meditation as a practical tool for helping to establish mental clarity and calm in the face of the stresses of the modern world .Having personally benefited from meditation practices for over a decade, Daragh has deepened his exploration through a number of modalities and traditions, including Mindfulness Based Stress reduction, the Western Insight tradition, various other Buddhist traditions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and modern science-based programs such as Search Inside Yourself. Daragh is a Mindfulness Based Stillness Meditation (The Gawler Foundation) teacher and a RYT 200 yoga teacher.

BodyMindLife Redfern Location

BodyMindLife Redfern offers yoga classes, workshops and special events. The studio is located at 15/245 Chalmers Street, between Redfern and Turner Streets. Enter through the main gates, hook a left and head up the stairs. It is a five minute walk from Redfern Station and close to major bus routes. Limited metered and unmetered street parking is available around the studio. Parking inspectors are vigilant.
