In 2015 something happened that would drastically change the course of his life forever… Sam stepped into a yoga studio.
At the time he was looking for something to compliment his weight training and had no idea what to expect from yoga. It was hard, hot and he had no idea what half the words meant, but at the end of the practice, he felt a sense of euphoria that he had not yet experienced.
At the time he wasn’t sure what it was but he knew he wanted to experience it again. From that day on he hasn’t looked back.
As his fascination and obsession with yoga grew, his weight training was complimented by his new obsession. Whether it’s learning new asana, cultivating pranayama techniques or diving deeper into yogic philosophy he finds himself discovering and learning much more about himself each day. Being able to push and challenge himself physically, mentally and spiritually all at once is truly incredible.
Since beginning his teaching journey he has developed a deep passion for the physical form, studying asana, anatomy & physiology to help better under how our bodies work.
“I like to bring this into my classes to help students develop a better understanding of their bodies in the hopes to keep themselves safe and strong.”
Over the years he has also been lucky enough to study and practice with Noelle Connolly & the Bodymindlife team, Simon Park, Patrick Beach, Dice Ida-Klein & Dylan Werner.
“My biggest inspirations in the world of Yoga would have to be Patrick Beach & Dylan Werner. Their culmination of strength, grace & knowledge is something I constantly aspire to, and their world-class hand balancing expertise has ignited a fire in me I’m sure will never go out.”
“Yoga is not just a physical practice but a way of life, my way of life, which I wish to share with the world.”
