With more than 75 classes on each week, BodyMindLife Kirrawee offers vinyasa flow, yin yoga, prenatal, parents and bubs options, and reformer Pilates for all levels.

If you’re new to the mat or reformer beds, begin your practice with Yoga Essentials and Pilates Align classes, before progressing to Yoga Open, Progressive and reformer Pilates Flow.

Originally a personal trainer and fitness instructor, Paula’s passion for Pilates began in 2001. Studying under the Stott Pilates Method, she has never looked back, and has extensive experience teaching Reformer, cadillac, spine corrector, wunda chair and ladder barrel as well as mat Pilates. Paula’s loves to inspire her students to new levels of body awareness which result in fantastic results!

Classes vary in focus and pace, and from teacher to teacher, and we encouraged you to move within the boundaries of your experience level. We recommend Yoga Open classes to those with prior yoga experience. If you're new to vinyasa, please attend 4-6 Yoga Essentials classes before trying our Open classes.

Temperature: Classes are heated to approximately 30°C. We do our best to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

YOUR TEACHER - Vanessa Mitchell

A devoted student of yoga for over 20 years, Vanessa completed Hatha yoga training at the White Lotus Yoga Foundation in Santa Barbara in 2004 and trained as a PreNatal teacher under Janice Clarfield of Urban Yoga.

Vanessa’s classes combine her unique blend of hatha yoga, vinyasa flow, birthing preparation techniques and conscious relaxation to encourage a strong yet safe practice for pregnant Mums. She teaches a series of flow and static asana – combined with vocal, pelvic floor and abdominal toning techniques – designed specifically to promote strength and elasticity and enhance the energy of body and mind, preparing mums to approach birth calm and confidence.

Yoga Community 28°C

This is an open level yoga class offered to the community on a donation basis (minimum $10 cash). Taught by our newer instructors or Teacher Training grads, Yoga Community classes provide a wonderful opportunity to explore the studio and experience a vinyasa flow yoga at little cost.

All proceeds are donated to HeadSpace who are a charity dedicated to providing mental health support for young people in Australia. You will need to make the donation to attend this class at reception when you sign in.

How to book

If you are a member, you can book via the timetable (additional $10 donation is optional).

If you are on a 28 Day Intro Pass, you can book online, however, you will need to make your $10 donation at reception prior to class.

If you are a non member, you can not book online, just show up to the studio and make your donation at reception prior to class.Remember, all proceeds are donated to charity. Availability based on a first come, first serve basis.

YOUR TEACHER - Mandy Scotney

Mandy came to yoga in her late thirties - going to a yoga retreat in Byron Bay and then as a student with BodyMindLife. She remembers feeling incredibly challenged by the practice but at the same time she found a peace she’d never previously experienced.

Mandy completed 500 hours of teacher training with Byron Yoga studying with John Ogilvie and Judy Krupp, Body Mind Life's Assisting and Alignment training, 100 hours Yin Yoga Training with Mel McLoughlin and has had the privilege to learn from teachers including Bryan Kest, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Maty Ezraty and our very own Noelle Connolly.

Teaching since 2009 Mandy's classes are intelligently sequenced and well balanced. For newer or more experienced students alike she works to make her classes both accessible and challenging and she ensures you'll leave feeling nurtured, restored and rejuvenated.

Having worked in some of Sydney’s best private Pilates studios she has diverse experience with the Pilates equipment including the Cadillac, Wunda Chair & Reformer. She has a nurturing and confident approach to issues and injuries within the body and strongly believes Pilates is for everybody. She loves interacting with people and not only shares her Pilates and health knowledge but she loves to educate clients about their body - empowering them to achieve a higher level of wellbeing .

On a personal level, Narelle is a Surry Hills girl, born and bred in the area with strong historical connections to the areas colorful past. When not teaching Pilates she is busy with her two children.
