CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Open 30°C

Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Classes vary in focus and pace, and from teacher to teacher, and we encouraged you to move within the boundaries of your experience level. We recommend Yoga Open classes to those with prior yoga experience. If you're new to vinyasa, please attend 4-6 Yoga Essentials classes before trying our Open classes.

Temperature: Classes are heated to approximately 30°C. We do our best to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

YOUR TEACHER - Claudine Lafond

Claudine believes that anything is possible. Her personal mission in life is to live a life of purpose, fueled by love, truth and courage. She has been drawn to movement and self expression for as long as she can remember. Claudine embodies compassion, warmth and kindness in all that she does. She celebrates in the unique light and beauty within everyone’s being. Her essential nature reflects lightness infused with depth and honesty. Her intention is to create an inclusive environment where students can move freely, feel good, have fun and experience the infinitude of possibilities within themselves. As she likes to say, "in every breath, there is opportunity for transformation. Yoga isn’t a practice contained to a mat, nor is it a practice available only to a certain group of people. It is a powerful tool for transformation and healing and should be available to everybody in the world."Yoga found Claudine over 15 years ago in her hometown of New York City and and the practice immediately resonated. Since then, she has sought every opportunity to learn from teachers around the world within various lineages. Her teaching is influenced from Kripalu, Anusara, Iyengar, Forrest, Hatha,Vinyasa and AcroYoga as well as fitness, pilates and holistic health. She believes that above all, humor is an essential ingredient in yoga and that laughter is the best core exercise there is. Claudine's humble guidance points her students towards the wisdom and strength they already possess.Holding deep gratitude for all of her teachers and students, she humbly acknowledges that we are all lifelong students. Through an extensive range of leaders, Claudine has forged an intuitive and playful teaching style. Her vibrant approach to life, courageous spirit, and open heart is infectious. Claudine contributes regularly to Women's Health Australia as the yoga expert and has recently been featured in Mantra Yoga and Health in the U.S. The desire to invite others to follow their bliss, has led Claudine and her husband Honza, to the creation of the brand YogaBeyond®, and the practice ACROVINYASA™, a highly transformative and inspiring stream of yoga.

Pilates Flow classes build on the foundations built in Align. You’ll move through a challenging series of exercises that incorporate functional movement patterns to strengthen, tone, firm and balance your body, improve posture and prevent injury. Not suitable for beginners to Reformer Pilates, those with injuries or during pregnancy.

BodyMindLife Potts Point Location

BodyMindLife Potts Point offers yoga and pilates classes, workshops and special events. The studio is located at Mezzanine Level, 14 Kings Cross Road, Potts Point, between William Street and Goderich Lane. Enter through the glass doors to the left of the Larmont Hotel. It is a three minute walk from Kings Cross Station and close to major bus routes. Limited metered and unmetered street parking is available around the studio. Parking inspectors are vigilant.
