Yoga Open 26°C

Lara Zilibowitz

Surry Hills

CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Open 26°C

Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Temperature: Classes are unheated but, as we don’t use air conditioning, the room will still be warm in summer. We recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

Pregnancy: Experienced yogis are welcome to attend after a check in with your doctor. We ask that you attend at least two Prenatal yoga classes before coming to class, so you can learn how to modify to suit the stage of your pregnancy. We do not recommend practising yoga during your first trimester.

YOUR TEACHER - Lara Zilibowitz

Lara has a long-standing passion for creative expression through movement and was first introduced to yoga at age 16. Body and breath then became the keystones in her own quest towards holistic health and she revels in the opportunity to share these learnings with her students. Lara has become known for her fluid and dynamic teaching style, coaxing students to get out of their head and drop into their feeling, intuitive body. What results is a profound breath-per-movement meditation of 'flow state', inspired by the teachings of her mentor, Prana Flow trailblazer Shiva Rea. As well as teaching at BodyMindLife studios, Lara Zilibowitz is an assistant to global movement alchemist Shiva Rea, an ambassador for lululemon athletica, a presenter for Wanderlust festivals Australia/New Zealand, a contributing editor to delicious. Magazine, a prolific ceramicist, and co-founder of Back2Roots Retreats - hosting transformative retreats around Australia and abroad.

Yoga Open 30°C

Christian Ralston

Surry Hills

CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Open 30°C

Yoga Open classes offer an energetic yoga flow with strong poses and creative sequencing, designed to challenge and inspire both physically and mentally.

Classes vary in focus and pace, and from teacher to teacher, and we encouraged you to move within the boundaries of your experience level. We recommend Yoga Open classes to those with prior yoga experience. If you're new to vinyasa, please attend 4-6 Yoga Essentials classes before trying our Open classes.

Temperature: Classes are heated to approximately 30°C. We do our best to keep the room at a comfortable temperature and recommend that you come hydrated, dress light, and bring a towel and water. If you are injured or pregnant please let your teacher know before class begins.

YOUR TEACHER - Christian Ralston

Christian first yoga class was underwhelming. It involved a teacher in baggy pants asking him to do strange, impossible things with his body. He put the experience on the shelf and left it there until Bikram caught his eye. Naturally sporty, the physicality appealed to him as did a mind/body connection that he’d never experienced before. From there he found power yoga, recovered from two knee reconstructions and in 2012 began the process of becoming a teacher. Christian has since trained with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Noah Maze, Les Leventhal, Chanel Luck, Simon Park, Christina Sell, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea and Maty Ezraty. His classes embrace all these styles, exuding a strong and playful teaching style that radiates energy. His gentle nature, natural athleticism and deep house heart keeps his students engaged and uplifted, giving them the space to experiment and explore.

Pilates Align

Vee Wiesheu

CLASS INFORMATION - Pilates Align

Pilates Align classes are for those who are new to Pilates or more experienced practitioners who want to fine-tune their current practice and technique. Enough of a workout to get your endorphins flowing but with an emphasis on control and precision. Suitable for those recovering from injury and post natal clients.

YOUR TEACHER - Vee Wiesheu

Originally from Munich, Germany, when Vee moved to Sydney in 2009 she fell in love with the beaches. They also made her more body aware and she started running regularly. After a lack of core stability, poor alignment and a long career in hospitality led to a number of injuries, she found Pilates and changed her life! Vee is passionate about the rehabilitative qualities of the practice and loves to break a sweat, in technical, contemporary whole-body classes that are fast and fun. She loves that everyone – young, old, injured, triathlete, prenatal, postnatal – can enjoy long term benefits from Pilates. Her mantra? "Your gain is my gain, you owe it to be good to yourself. We only get one shot and this is it.”

A hands-on teacher, her healing adjustments will invite you into physical and energetic alignment.
