How long have you been teaching Pilates?

I have been teaching Pilates for the past 5 years!

What’s your favourite Mat Pilates exercise?

THE HUNDRED! It gets my body connected with my mind. It allows for me to set the pace for my mat session… most importantly it’s an exercise I can do anywhere super quickly and I finish feeling invigorated.

––

Tell us a little bit about your background and how you found Pilates?

I was a professional dancer and Pilates was introduced as means of supporting the physical demands of performing multiple shows a day. I did my teacher training to better understand my own body and better my technique, but I soon transitioned and found myself teaching Pilates.

What are you most looking forward to about teaching the Mat Pilates Training?

Equipping and bringing out epic instructors!!

––

Can you tell us who this course is for?

If you’re wanting to understand Pilates on a deeper level this is a great place to start. If you are new to teaching and want to gain the knowledge of the foundations, or if you’re already reformer trained and want to add mat Pilates to your existing qualifications.

––

What’s the best bit of teaching advice you’ve ever received?

Ahhh I have so many little nuggets…my ultimate one is reading the room and being able to adapt to the environment and provide the class in front of you with what they physically need from the Pilates method. We’ll teach you how to do that and so much more.

––

What’s something fun your students may not know about you?

I am a massive book worm, plant mum, self-proclaimed chef and in my spare time I train for triathlons!

––

What advice would you give to a student considering taking the course?

1. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
2. Take your training facilitators classes.
3. Explore classes and studios to find what resonates with YOU!You have no idea what could be until you take the leap and we have all the tools to give you…
