Pilates Flow

Carla Sconce

Surry Hills

CLASS INFORMATION - Pilates Flow

Pilates Flow classes build on the foundations built in Align. You’ll move through a challenging series of exercises that incorporate functional movement patterns to strengthen, tone, firm and balance your body, improve posture and prevent injury. Not suitable for beginners to Reformer Pilates, those with injuries or during pregnancy.

YOUR TEACHER - Carla Sconce

Carla was first introduced to Pilates in 2001 and was immediately hooked. Practicing in Sydney, New York and London, Carla completed her certification in both mat and reformer Pilates in 2013. She believes the Pilates focus on posture, core stability and strength makes it an important practice for people of all ages and backgrounds. Carla's classes are strong and always varied. As a fully certified Personal Trainer, her focus is on form and movement, while encouraging clients to get the most out of their training. In 2015 she added Barre Attack to her repertoire, because she wanted to test herself (and her dance moves!). As a healthy living advocate and mother of two, Carla understands everyone leads busy lives but that if we love what we're doing, and nurture our body, we can achieve great thing.

Yin offers long, meditative yoga holds that release stress and tension from the body, explore subtle energies and penetrate deep into the connective tissues of the body. Sonia’s journey began in 2003 when she went to a Hatha yoga class in a gym in South London. She loved the way yoga made her feel – not only physically, but also mentally. The integration of body, connecting breath with fluid movement, engaged her mind completely like no other form of exercise. Since then Sonia has practiced many different styles but is inherently drawn to the powerful flow and moving meditation that Vinyasa offers. Sonia completed her 200 hour teacher training with Meghan Currie in Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga and Yin Teacher Training with Mel McLaughlin. Sonia’s goal is to live yoga daily, both on and off the mat.
